Summary
Even the best plans come undone.
With their supplies reclaimed and food enough for the future, the group at Barry's cabin can do more than just scrape by. Between fruitful gardens, great friends, and sturdy fences—not to mention karaoke—life in the zompoc is better than ever.
Nothing is perfect, however. Across the country, safe zones are mysteriously going dark, and Oregon's summer weather has turned the forest into a tinderbox. Brilliant
I an listening my way through all these books and this one was yet again a brilliant and entertaining book . I wasn't really keen on this series compared to the others but the author really made the characters come alive in this one. Looking forward to the next book in the series ..

Heartbreaking
I love all the characters in this series and now I’m heartbroken and left in limbo I was merrily listening along when it all turned to sh*t. I laughed and cried. Keep up the excellent writing and narration until the next instalment. Waiting with hope.

Loved it!
Another great book in the series..now have to wait for the next :(
I love the story and I adore most of the characters, the narrators suit the characters perfectly. This book reduced me to tears in this book, some really sad parts. I wait impatiently for the next book.

Gripping
I was so so excited when I was notified of this instalment - I have loved every single of one of Sarah’s book (all the series - if you love this Cascadia series you will love the others). I was not disappointed- absolutely brilliant - gripping storyline and as always, fabulous narration. I did shed a tear or two. Now I just have to wait for the next instalment - hurry up Sarah 😊.
