Summary

Navy SEAL vet turned private investigator Logan Wild has a thirst for justice - and one-time flings. But when he meets Stella "Stormy" Knight, he finds himself craving more from the mysterious beauty….

Everything's naughtier after dark....

Stella "Stormy" Knight is an expert at hiding - her feelings, her past, and her identity. Sometimes, all that hiding takes its toll, and she needs to come out from under that heavy suit of armor and cut loose - but it never takes her long to put it right back on and disappear without a trace.

Navy SEAL turned private Investigator Logan Wild is relentless in his pursuit to discover the truth for his clients. He works hard, plays even harder, and always walks away unscathed and untethered. Until he meets mysterious and sexy-as-hell Stormy, who leaves him craving more than a one-night stand.

Passion ignites, secrets are shared, and their deep connection is impossible to ignore. But in order to have a future, Logan must uncover Stormy's dark past - and when he does, he'll hold her fate in his hands.

The Wild Boys After Dark books are long enough to burn up the sheets and short enough to leave you craving more.

Turning hotness in to darkness

I found the use of the audio is brilliant it captured the whole book. Robert did really well capturing each character and portrayed them how I imagined it's nice to have it hands free when you are going to the gym or a car journey just make sure to you have the jax in the head phones properly so you don't get red faced in certain parts lol. I loved my first book and it won't be my last.

Love conquers all

Would you listen to Wild Boys After Dark: Logan again? Why?

Sadly not, but it had nothing to do with the story, i just didn't like the narrator. The story was fabulous.

What other book might you compare Wild Boys After Dark: Logan to, and why?

Bad Boy: Mick. It's on par for the steam and wildness!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Robert Ashker Kraft?

No, I really didn't like his voice

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

WOW!

Any additional comments?

I love Melissa Foster books, she never disappoints. This was a great story. Poor Stella, a little lost along the way to finding a full heart, but in sweeps Logan! Letting Stella know her worth, with protectiveness and care.

Brilliant!!!

What did you like most about Wild Boys After Dark: Logan?

I listened to this book through Audio and loved it!

My first audio book and hopefully the first of many.

I have read all of Melissa's books so far and this book is a little risky compared to her other books but that's what made me love it more.

The sexual tension between Logan and Stormy from the first time they meet is electric and you may need a cold shower from page one lol!!

Stormy is running from her past and Logan is trying to deal with a heartbreaking past, they help each other overcome their fears and fall madly in love.

A steamy love match that has you hooked from page one!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oh this is a difficult one but it has to be Logan. He has been through so much but always willing to help others. The man is sexy with a capital S!

What does Robert Ashker Kraft bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

As my first audio book his voice lured me in just as much as the words on Melissa's pages.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were a few however the moment Logan opened up to his mother about the secret he has been carrying. I cried.

Any additional comments?

Loved this story!!

WOW!

Would you consider the audio edition of Wild Boys After Dark: Logan to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed both the audio and the print version of this book. It took bit of getting used to a male voice for Stormy.

What did you like best about this story?

The Wild Boys series is completely different to Melissa's other series. It's raw emotion, and language give it more of an edge and feel.

What about Robert Ashker Kraft’s performance did you like?

I loved his voice. It matched my image of Logan, it was perfect.

Any additional comments?

I loved this audio book as much as the printed version. My only mistake was listening to it while I was trying to work, it distracted me too much lol!
The story of Logan and Storm is quite a rollercoaster. They both have a past and reasons they don't give in to their hearts, but together they find away back to being able to love and receive love. The book is written with all the emotion you come to expect from Melissa, and once you start, you can't stop.
The voice of Robert Ashker Kraft is very soothing and suits Logan well. It took a while to get used to his voice for Storm, but I soon got used to it.

Great story, stilted narration

What three words best describe Robert Ashker Kraft’s performance?

I found it difficult to get comfortable with the narrator, it might be personal taste, but I found his voice a little stilted to the detriment of the story.

Any additional comments?

I love Melissa Foster's books and was a little wary as to how this new series would evolve, but I didn't need to be!
Melissa keeps her romantic, swoon worthy writing style and allows us to get entrenched into the goings on of another large softie in the middle family, and a storyline that keeps you on your toes.
Different from her other books, yet feels the same, I thoroughly recommend to Melissa Foster fans and beyond. A great start to a new series.

Like a bad porn movie!

This has got to be one of the worst books I have ever read. It was like watching a really bad porn movie. Don't waste your money or time!

Insta Love while putting away bad guys

This story had promise but was just too cheesy. Foster’s attempt at developing a very sexy series just doesn’t make it. The characters and basic plot are good but the details are disappointing. First she gives the characters porn star names-Stormy Knight, the Wild brothers and their friends the Bad boys. Really! Then there is the timeline. All the action occurs within a week. Then there is one narrator is is pretty good for action scenes, when he is musing with Logan’s inner thoughts, or basic dry narration but only acceptable at the mom’s voice and at Stormy Stella’s voice when she is in plain narration. The sexy scenes fall completely flat with the narrator. They are joyless and mechanical. This book is not worth a credit but if free it is pretty short and easy to skip through parts sounding to flat in tone. There are 4 brothers so maybe she got better with the series. Am willing to try on more with the Escape Package but once it is gone I won’t bother - again not worth credits.

Save me!

This book felt under developed to me. The ending was very rushed. There was so much more that could have happened. It is a shame, because the story was pretty good and interesting but all of a sudden it just fell apart.

No, just no!

Melissa Foster exceeds at writing sweet romances. In this instance, I think she should stick with what she is good at and not muddy her area of expertise. The storyline is good, but the instances where explicit content is included seems forced and just does not 'gel' with her style of writing. No, just please no.

Easy read but super quick rap up

The story was going along at a good pace and then it was like all of a sudden Foster ran out of time and just ended it. Like why didn’t we see her final confrontation with the ex? That would be pretty big to her journey.

Logan: Wild Boys After Dark

Logan meets "Stormy" at his friends bar after someone tries to attack her while shes working, but Logan knows that isn't the only fear Stormy has, and decides that he must protect her. While Stormy is hiding for her life, and cut off from the only family she has, she isn't sure if it is a good idea to let Logan in on her biggest secrets, and protect her from the man she is running from. Logan's family helps Stormy realize that she can trust him to keep her safe.
I loved this book and this series. Definitely get a little bit of everything with each of the stories in the series.

Logan Wild can guard my body anyday

Well thank you for the extra heat. Or at the least the inferno that blazed almost right out the gates. Logan was alpha protective from the start of it all. He back down from nothing but was torchered in a way that hightened his protectiveness.

Stormy (Stella) was exactly as the dual names indicate. She was two different people in different ways. She was sassy, sexy, strong and fierce. She was also sweet, independent, scared, and loving. She was the sweet woman that she had been most of her life. Yet the event that changed her life change her. She became that fiercely strong, sassy woman.

Stella was tough and scarred. Melissa drew the dynamics of a very strong character with flaws and insecurities. She gave us Logan also. Sexy. Hot. Alpha. Torchered.

Narrator Robert was a combination of all the strong males with various degrees of alpha in their tone, pitch, and diction. My drawback was that at time female characters sounded male. Not a strong male but still male or let me say less feminine. Even with that said. I very much enjoyed Robert and look forward to hearing more from him. The male characters he portray are too darn delicious to let go of.

no real new ground broken in all the best ways

AudioBook Review
Stars: Overall 4 Narration 4 Story 4

Starting with a bit of interior POV from the heroine, Stella, the story introduces us to her choices: moving to NY to avoid (and hide from) an abusive ex, cutting herself off from family, and keeping a low profile. She’s lonely, caustic and even a bit skittish, and all of that shows in her word choice. Of course, empathy for her is easy. Then she meet Logan: a PI after leaving the military, this man has a protective streak a mile wide, a need to fix issues, and his eyes on Stella. Their connection at first is electric, she’s mesmerized by the blue eyes and swagger: he likes her shape, her smile and knows there is more behind the bravado.

From first meeting to conclusion, their physical connection is off the charts: dirty talk, sexy moments and full-on abandon characterize these moments. But there is more: Logan is determined to protect Stella, he’s even finding it hard to justify the insta-love he has for her, even as she won’t fully open up and share her concerns and worries. He’s going to protect her though, and she blossoms under his attention: perhaps a bit quickly from the drastic measures she took at the conclusion of her last relationship, but she’s got hope. They shared hopes and dreams, background and concerns, and soon are winging their way to a happy ending – perhaps a bit quickly for my taste.

Narration for this story is provided by Robert Asher Kraft, and it was nice, after so many audiobooks from Foster to try a new narrator. My first encounter with his work, the influence from his acting was clearly present: emotions and moments of insecurity were easily distinguished as the story progressed. A pleasant voice, one that enunciates clearly and maintains a steady pace, what I did miss was a distinction between characters, either in pacing or tone, that would have made it easier to determine just who was speaking, especially in moments that were dialogue heavy.

There’s no real new ground broken here in this story, with the exception of the erotic content being amped up from other works from Foster – and believe me – it is steamy, sexy and oh so dirty: in all the best ways. But, the hero is rescuing the damsel in distress: she’s in need of affirmation as a woman, as desirable, and to reconnect with her life before she met Logan, and she gets that chance here, with the full support of a loving and caring man.

I received an AudioBook copy of the title from the AudioProducer for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
