Summary

Leonard Ravenhill's call to revival is as timely now as it was when it was published over 50 years ago. The message is fearless and often radical as he expounds on the disparity between the New Testament church and the church today. Why Revival Tarries contains the heart of his message. AW Tozer called Ravenhill "a man sent from God" who "appeared at [a] critical moment in history", just as the Old Testament prophets did. Included are questions for group and individual study. Ravi Zacharias refers to this as "the book that shaped me...more dramatically than any other".

narrator

I tried to listen but the narrators style for reading this takes away from the impact of the topic. He speaks clearly but far too soft a tone for a Ravenhill book.

Improvement in Narration

The narration seemed to have come from a robot or some artificial intelligence- it didn’t seem human in some parts - the cohesion, linking phrases or sentences to the next, etc.

Overall, it’s a powerful book. I had the paper version!

Content is great. Spoken word is bad.

The narrator has a weird tongue issue and his voice is flat.

The content is exceptional so I will listen, but his narrator is brutal.

Amazing book, Not the best Narration. Please re-record!!

This book and his book Revival God’s Way, every preacher and believer should read! I have the book as well and will read it along with listening on audible.
I am so happy that it is on audible, I would love to hear another narration.

A old message needed today!

Spoke with straight to the heart and challenges us in the core of our being, forcing us to ask questions if we really believe what we say, we believe.

Still Valuable Today

A little outdated and wrong in some places (imo), but still well worth reading today.

Interesting

The Narration was annoying but after awhile I understood that, that was the intention of the author. He is begging Minister/Pastors/ People of God to change our behavior. So although it sounds like whining, it is necessary to depict the author written cadence.
