About this listen

Stacia Reynolds, the famous White Werewolf, plucked from her quiet Vermont life and thrust into the supernatural world. Rescued from mauling by the Hammer of God himself, transformed into one of the most skilled weres in the world, stepping from impoverishment to fame and fortune, and destined to become partner to the most powerful witch ever. This is a story for Demon Accords fans, told by Stacia, in her own words.

Re hashing

Started off jarring. I could believe the didn't give a new narrator, a pronunciation guide after a ton of books to hear some of the names was nerve grinding. It seemed to get better half way through. I preferred the new sections rather than the repeating of whole sections from previous stories. Worth a listen but only just

The second half is the best part

I was expecting incidents from previous books to be retold through Stacia’s eyes, rather like Darkkin Knight. The first half is largely parts of previous books joined together with some original material. The second half is very much better and overall really adds to the series.

Amazing story

love the story, narration could have been a little better. When switching narrators, it would be great if the new one matched the pronunciation of names

Worth a read

Although perhaps not as good as some of the other novels in the Demon Accords series this is still good entertainment. In terms of story line, this novel doesn’t progress the story at all and, in fact, ends at book 11. However there is some development of the back story of Stacia. I didn’t think this book quite matched up to, C.A.E.C.O. Lucky Son of a Gun or Darkkin knight but I am glad to have read the book and continued with the series.

Absorbing!

The author fleshes out the characters so well that after 19 books they feel so REAL to me.

This narrator isn't the best and her "little girl" voices for other adult females is a bit irritating - and a few mispronounciations (Arkady, coup to name 2) show she didn't research much... but she carried the story well.

John Conroe, please 🙏 hurry up with the sequels. A year without my friends is too long. 😭

Good story

Loved the story line - it was nice to see things from a different view point. The narration, however, left a bit to be desired, notably the mispronunciation of Latin and Gaelic names and the sometimes squeaky voices for some of the characters. Overall a good book.

continuity and characters are bs

the names were said wrong. the cadence and pacing in sentences were off creating a completely different ambience to a scene. (obviously the talented narrator hadn't listened to the original works)

there were scenes which showed callousness between main players unseen until the friction displayed a lot later in the series.

Declan and Stacia didn't get together until after/the end of "rogues" but in this it was before it. Declan's heavy handedness with people didn't appear until he was made earth's steward and had to deal with the "will of the goddess" herself wanting to kill all life.

So much is wrong and contradicts what was previously established in the story.

Disappointing

For fans of the series, this is a re hash and unfortunately is very disappointing. There is no real story just bits and pieces of the other stories, and the narrator change further disconnects the avid series listener. I'm only 5hrs in and have decided to return it.
