Biblical Manhood Clearly Taught!

This book is an exceptional work explaining biblical manhood, I was both highly encouraged, and thoroughly convicted to the high calling of manhood, to live as Christ, Dr. Baucham does an excellent job explaining biblical manhood!

A must read for any parent.

Just like the heading says, if you have children, this book is the most comprehensive and challenging read I've ever encountered regarding Parenthood.
Dr. Baucham definitely brings the Light of Truth to bear on his readers.

Haven’t we moved past this yet?

This is the kind of thing that was really popular in evangelical circles when I was in high school and college. Actually I was surprised to see the publication date (2009) because he was quite late to the party. Search “biblical manhood” and you’ll find fifty books just like this one.

The kind of so-called “biblical manhood” that is elevated here is seductively simple - it’s easy to read and think “oh yeah definitely” - but it’s not actually how real marriage relationships work. The very definitions are so strict as to leave little room for how marriage partners are different people with different gifts. It’s very patriarchal, very rigid in terms of “proper roles”, and leaves very little room for the woman to be anything other than a daughter and then a wife.

So glad I made time for this

Should be required for all men and women to listen to this. ESPECIALLY the men!

This work is essential for all parents, grand parents, pastors, peeachers and teachers.

As a twice divorced sinlge, I hit all the pitfalls of Romeo amd Juliette. My dad was a church goer but he did not prepare my brothers for manhood ans was not the preist, protector, prophet or provider to teach me discernment.

ln fact, until I moved out of the country, I brought suitors to meet my mom before having any serious conversations. She would give me her impressions, which I took or not. Her reading of people proved precise often saved me time as she sometimes confirmed my intuition.

Now, I use it for myself and am instructing my daughter. I pray that I will be able to help my son become a Godly man.

This should be required for all christian fathers

I wish I had this before the birth of my first child. Listen closely and take it to heart. This is much more than a filter for a potential suiter. It is a model of the role of the father for the next generation.
