Summary

A feel-good holiday romance

When Isabella Jenkins is unceremoniously fired from her fancy London job, she escapes to Tuscany. A few weeks hiding amongst rolling hills and grapevines at Villa Limoncello sounds exactly like the distraction she needs.

But Italy holds emotional memories for Izzie and with a hapless handyman, a matchmaking village matriarch and a gorgeous - if infuriating - local chef named Luca Castelotti, her quiet Italian getaway turns into an unending cacophony of chaos.

Suddenly Izzie finds herself on a mission to pull off the wedding of the century and maybe get her life in order in the process. If only Luca’s gorgeous smile wasn’t such a powerful distraction....

*An Escapist’s Read*

This is the first instalment of a three part series (Tuscan Dreams) the backdrop of Tuscany and I could almost smell and taste the food.

Isabella Jenkins (Izzie) is an interior designer. She started her own company but after a devastating personal loss her business folded due to her complete heartbreak. She is working for a company and using her skills when she is unexpectedly sacked due to the son of the owner having a different vision.

Her best friend Meghan encourages her to take a job in Italy dressing a house and getting it ready for a wedding. Meghan’s brother Brad is a filmmaker so this is a very different assignment for her plus the wedding is shrouded in secrecy and she has very little to go on.

Going to Italy will bring back painful memories for Izzie, but when she arrives she is met with some very colourful characters and all set in the beautiful backdrop of Tuscany. The villa is beautiful but very unloved and although Izzie is working blind with very sketchy details will her skills transfer to wedding planning? Will Izzie go back to her England after her assignment is over or will she stay?

This book is full of chaos, drama and lots of misunderstandings but it worked for me.
