Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of We Can See You by Simon Kernick, read by Richard Goulding.

WE HAVE YOUR DAUGHTER.

WE KNOW YOUR SECRETS.

WE CAN SEE YOU.

A high-octane thriller from Sunday Times bestselling author Simon Kernick

You have it all. Success, a beautiful home, a happy family.

Until, in a heartbeat, it's gone.

We've kidnapped your daughter, and we know everything about you. Including the dark secrets from your past you thought were forgotten.

We tell you not to contact the police – and that we’ll know if you do. Because we can see you.

And now you know this is no ordinary abduction. It’s worse. Within hours you’re on the run, with only one thought in your head:

That you will stop at nothing to get your daughter back.

Even murder...

Thrilling from start to finish. Amazing work.

This stand-alone book from Simon Kernick takes his work in a somewhat new direction from his tried and trusted genre. The book begins with every parent's worst nightmare; Your child has been taken, do not call the police, we are watching everything you do ... "We Can See You!" A thrilling read/listen from start to finish with twists and turns throughout heading towards an incredible conclusion that I guarantee you will never see coming in a million years! Thought provoking and an intriguing character depth makes this book a must. Great work.

loved it from start to finish,

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves a crime story, a good, believable twist at the end

Disappointing.

I Think I have read all or at least most of Simon Kernick’s books and usually love them. This one however was not up to his usual standard. It is not set in the UK but in America and is reminiscent of a Harlan Coben novel and not a particularly good one. I hope this is a one off and he goes back to writing about english crime with some of my favourites like Tina Boyd. It’s ok but disappointing if you were expecting his usual crime/thriller page turners.

Disappointed

Huge Simon Kernick fan and was looking forward to his new book. I was disappointed. Not up to his usual standard. Was not impressed with the narration either as the accent sounded very fake

OK, but not his best

An intriguing set up that does not fulfill its potential. runs out of pace about 3/4s of the way through.

A change of tack!

I love Simon Kernick books, the pace, the plots, the twist and very few wasted words. So I am a fan!
The tack of his writing changed on this story, not least as it was set in the US.
The reader performance was great and the story was good but the end was a little too weak for me. I say this as it had a lot of build up, some odd twists and character establishment then seemed to settle for a middle of the road closing.
The plot could have coped with this ending and it had the Kernick pace but it was like a rushed tidy up of all the lose ends.
As outlined I am a fan of his, so don't let me review put you off trying his other stories.
