Magnificent
amazing in every way. the original book is already magnificent, the voice acting makes it better. truly amazing performances, getting Alan Moore on it makes it also wonderful

don't give up it's a masterpiece
I nearly couldn't get past the first couple chapters (very ye olde English) but it was definitely worth it and the language modernises pretty quickly.
Quit dilly-dallying and get the book already

A remarkable piece of artistry
I have often thought audiobooks could be more than the sum of their parts. I've listened to quite a wide range of them, some with excellent texts, with excellent readers, some fully dramatised.
Voice of the Fire somehow manages to weave performance, text and artfully composed sound design into something truly transcendent of the form.
Within this audiobook you will find interwoven stories of Northampton ranging from prehistory to present day. The stories are beautifully realized by a variety of talents including Maxine Peake, Jason Williamson and Mark Gaddis. It is haunting, beautiful, brutal and heartbreaking by turn.
This is an outstanding piece of art that deserves repeated listening. it will stay with you for a long time.

Everything burns
A gem of a book read beautifully by an array of artists not excluding the author himself.
A shadow reflection of the psychic geography of the aforementioned authors native town.
Grimy, brutal and enthrallingly grotesque in its pulchritude.
The last chapter had me in goose bumps for hours after it’s narration. This is the puissance of Alan Moore.

Voice of the fire.
This is a fantastic audiobook with a great cast of readers. Also the ambient background sounds really do help bring the prose to life.
I have read this book twice before listening to this audiobook version and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

A Luminous Seance, set in Northampton and Time
The performances bring a very challenging book (which I’ve been trying to read for about 18 years) in to a focussed and incandescent light. Excellent.
