Summary

Una voce forte, corale e ipnotica racconta la vita straordinaria di un gruppo di donne - le cosiddette "spose in fotografia" - partite dal Giappone per andare in sposa agli immigrati giapponesi in America, a cominciare dal loro primo, arduo viaggio collettivo attraverso l'oceano.

Roosevelt di considerare i cittadini americani di origine giapponese come potenziali nemici.

Somehow disappointing

Very interesting historical reference, initially atmospheric but then very repetitive and the book failed to keep me engaged.
