Summary

Marlowe is summoned to the mansion of his new client General Sternwood. The wealthy retired general wants to resolve gambling debts his daughter, Candy Sternwood, owes to Arthur Gwynn Geiger. very difficult to understand the narrator

could not understand the narrator so gave up after the first chapter. First time this has happened
