Summary

In this number one national best seller, a journalist who's been attacked by antifa writes a deeply researched and reported account of the group's history and tactics.

When Andy Ngo was attacked in the streets by antifa in the summer of 2019, most people assumed it was an isolated incident. But those who'd been following Ngo's reporting in outlets like the New York Post and Quillette knew that the attack was only the latest in a long line of crimes perpetrated by antifa.

In Unmasked, Andy Ngo tells the story of this violent extremist movement from the very beginning. He includes interviews with former followers of the group and people who've been attacked by them and incorporates stories from his own life. This book contains a trove of documents obtained by the author, published for the first time ever.

brilliant

Well written well read . Refreshing in this world to listen to the truth no matter how dire it really is . It's a sad world now journalism is just another word for extreme left propaganda, and this book exposes this.

A brilliant book

Excellent book, I just wish it had been read in his own voice (although the person that did it was also very good).

A Must Read

From the very first sentence Andy Ngo’s book is an education of Antifa, it’s history and it’s activities in the USA today. So many things have been explained and made clear.
The most important paragraph was that because of the day to day pressures of life and life in general many people do not have the time or the inclination to understand the activities and the motives of Antifa/BLM.
This really is a must read, must listen to book.

Excellent

A really good dive into the world of Antifa. What they are, who they are and why they are.

an extremely important book

this should be mandatory reading. As the 4th estate has been hopelessly subverted into political partisanship, the thuggery and violence of the hard left is hushed up amd denied.
It is a terrible threat to liberal democracy and, like all radicalisation, needs to be flushed out of our societies.
there is no room for violence and intimidation in a liberal democracy amd politicians and media encluraging it or failing to call it out need to take a long hard look at themselves.

A warning to us all

As in the thirties, violent thugs are looking to overturn democracy. This time the fascists call themselves antifascists but don't be fooled. Andy NGO's book lays out in detail how dangerous they are.

Insightful

A good look into what can happen when people move away from the centre.

Left wing terrorists

Finished book now and very helpful to understand the terrorism elements that are Antifa and BLM. Notice how the media and government shout constantly of the dangerous far right who are not to be seen and minimise the Marxist elements. Yuri Bezmenov had warned us of how communism will enter the West. How far along the 4 stages are we that he exposed? We are in dangerous times where the useful idiots are being once again used to subvert our freedom to bring about tyranny.

Insightful, worrying, and personal

The book brings to light the insidious of the extreme and violent left wing and exposes it well, to the point you cam draw many parallels between Antifa and other extremist ideologies.
The book is mostly apolitical but it does have a slight slant in that it is more critical of US left wing politics than the right, but usually frames specific criticisms with context.
What makes it a good listen is the excellent narration and that a lot of what is said is a first hand account or is analytical on a story.
