About this listen

College success is about more than knowing your subject.... You need some sneaky extra tactics too. And you're about to discover them all….

We hear about successful people who dropped out of college all the time—think Harrison Ford, Richard Branson, and Lady Gaga….

But what about the people who didn’t make it big?

For every college-failure-turned-success story, there are countless less-inspiring ones…and the reality is that the majority of people don’t struggle because they’re not passionate about what they’re studying.

The real reason why most people don’t make the grades they need or become so disheartened that they drop out of college early has nothing to do with the subject they’re studying or their drive to succeed…. It’s because they lack essential study skills and inside knowledge.

Your courses focus on your subject—as they should…. But there’s a wealth of other information you’re missing out on that could make the difference between a pass and a fail.

And study skills are only part of the recipe…. It’s all about how you approach your education, and there are a ton of secrets you’re probably missing out on.

But not for long…. You’re about to gain access to everything you need to succeed.

Written by a retired professor and department chair, this one-of-a-kind, concise guide shines a light on all the little extras you can weave into your time at college…the extras your own instructors are too busy to show you. Inside, you’ll discover:

  • Critical mistakes made by most students (once you’re aware of them, you’ll stop making them yourself)
  • What to do to set yourself up for success before you even set foot in the classroom
  • Everything you need to know about time management (this is more important than you think!)
  • The number-one indicator of success (and how it’s entirely within your capabilities)
  • Five note-taking methods that could transform the way you study forever
  • The golden rule you need to apply to your free time to make sure every class really counts
  • Why lesson time isn’t the only time you should see your instructor…and what other avenues are available to you
  • Things you need to know about professors and other instructors—you’ll be surprised by the power this knowledge will give you
  • How to approach exams (no matter how much you struggle with them now)
  • What you need to know about your GPA—and why those little numbers count
  • An easy-to-follow strategy for success in any college course
  • And much more.

If you thought being passionate about your subject was enough, think again. If you want to come out top of the class, you need that little extra spark up your sleeve…and this guide will help you find it….

And once you do, you’ll have skills to last you long after you graduate with flying colors.

Uncover the secret to making a success of your college years. Scroll up, and buy now.

Loved this book. It’s just the right length of time for a busy college student to listen to while walking between classes over a couple days time. The most impactful chapter for me was the test-taking chapter. The suggestions were SO helpful and I hadn’t thought of them or heard of them before. With end of term tests coming up, grab this today so you have everything you need to get A’s.

We always hear that knowledge is more important than grades. But this formula is not applicable when you are in work life. Mostly, in our society, jobs are given to those people that have good grades.

Now, how to balance your grades is basically discussed by the writer in this book.

The author was smart to make this into an audiobook and to make it just over an hour. College students have too many textbooks to read already, so they can easily listen to this while working out or doing some other leisure activity. It becomes evident quickly that the author is highly qualified to impart this information because he’s completed all levels of higher education himself and was also a college professor. Knowing that the greatest struggle for college students is their lack of good student habits, the author provides a step-by-step process that when followed systematically, will provide the structure needed to learn and absorb the material in a manner that will be reflected by good grades. If you are struggling in college, don’t wait one more day - start listening to this audiobook now.

Lots of useful information. I liked the tips for understanding the notes better by re-phrasing the notes and explaining to another person. I have already applied the advice to solve problems at home. It gave me great results. This book is a gold mine for every student who wants to succeed in his studies and be competent in his field. I also learned the importance of reading the syllabus!

I highly recommend this book. It's based on advice from a professor of engineering, who clearly wants to help all students succeed. Practical advice about different ways to take notes, so that you can find the right way for you. Help with planning your work, revising for exams and much more. The book is written with compassion for students who struggle to learn. This book will give you confidence to approach your college lecturers when you need help, and see your way forward if you are already struggling. Ideally should be read before going to college, but useful at what ever stage you're at.
