September 1939 in London, ein österreichischer Neuropathologe, Tiefenpsychologe, Kulturtheoretiker und Religionskritiker, hielt diese 5 Vorlesungen über Psychoanalyse im September 1909 zur 20-jährigen Gründungsfeier an der Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Sigmund Freud gilt bekanntermaßen als Begründer der Psychoanalyse, die bis heute Anwendung findet und Pflichtlektüre für jeden Psychologie-Studenten und -Interessierten ist. Freud widmete die im Verlag Franz Deuticke verlegten Reden dem Präsidenten der Clark University, G. Stanley Hall.
