Summary
Within each corporation are anywhere from a few to hundreds of separate tribes. In Tribal Leadership, Dave Logan, John King, and Halee Fischer-Wright demonstrate how these tribes develop - and show you how to assess them and lead them to maximize productivity and growth. A business management book like no other, Tribal Leadership is an essential tool to help managers and business leaders take better control of their organizations by utilizing the unique characteristics of the tribes that exist within.

Convincing
The authors don't promise a quick fix, instead they show a convincing way to build better workplaces. An alternative approach to suffering the soul-sapping 'my way or the highway' organisational environments that are the default for insecure bosses.

turn the speed to 1.5x then it'll be okay
The guy speaking speaks so slowly it is amazing the producer didn't stop this. When I changed the speed to 1.5x it was like listening to a normal book.
Generally pretty good except the usual US presidents are gods and look how their behaviours match.
There are some useful insights and triggers self-reflection about the stage you're at and what you might need to do to improve.

Narration issue
Was looking forward to this book, but Narration is monotone and pedantic. I found myself zoning out very often, so I did not finish the book. May make more sense to by printed version.

Important if you're suffering at your job
A different approach to corporate culture, which is rarer than it should be. I don't ever read business culture books, so since my job required this one, I made a point to drink the koolaid, and it's paid off personally.

One of the best management books I've read
This is a fantastic look at understanding how different organizations operate, including how the individuals within those organizations operate. it's incredibly intuitive and gives great examples on how to move from one level to another, and how great organizations can drop down or move up at different times based on the company culture.

Business advice that applies to life
Of all of the business improvement books I've read, this was hands down the most meaningful and inspiring. unlike most books that stretch an essay out over a hundred pages, this rather long book is full of substance.
I recommend this book to almost everyone I meet because it's wisdom applies to all relationships, even yours to life in general.

Definitive statements with zero evidence
Tribal Leadership is a business operating system that seems to make sense on the surface but is total crap. They reference their research and how they have spoken to thousands of people but don't get into any substantial depth. They make huge, sweeping, definitive statements but don't back them up at all and just expect the reader to assume it is true. To be able to accurately uncover such research would take decades of research and tens of millions of dollars to put enough time into having a remote chance of collecting enough data to identify causal relationships for success. They provide zero evidence for this and instead quote the actor who played Lumberg from Office Space as if he has any credibility.

Great book, Awful audiobook
While the book was great, although it gave way too many examples that go on and on and on, the audio version is hard to get through. I had to listen to it at 1.5 X just to make it sound normal.

Priceless
The knowledge contained in this book is priceless. There is so much knowledge & insights about culture & how to help your tribe get on the next level.
I've been listening to success, business & self development for the past two years & this is one of the best.
The author's narration is slow but listening at 1.20 speed fixes that.
