About this listen
The realm burns. Vaelin Al Sorna is tired of war. He's fought countless battles in service to the Realm and Faith. His reward was the loss of his love, the death of his friends, and a betrayal by his king. After five years in an Alpiran dungeon, he just wants to go home.
Reva intends to welcome Vaelin back with a knife between the ribs. He destroyed her family and ruined her life. Nothing will stop her from exacting bloody vengeance - not even the threat of invasion from the greatest enemy the Realm has ever faced.
Yet as the fires of war spread, foes become friends and truths turn to lies. To save the Realm, Reva must embrace a future she does not want - and Vaelin must revisit a past he'd rather leave buried.

Brilliant sequel, Brilliant performance.
I should probably begin by mentioning the near perfect review of the first book in this series, the only thing lacking was a variation in voice for the various characters as it was sometime difficult to know who it was that was talking.
This audio book does not have that problem at all, all the characters are very easy to distinguish by the performance as well and how they speak, a testimony to the skill of the author!
The story is excellent, it continues from the previous book very well and references enough of the plot that it is a true continuation, not just another book about the same people. It is written in such a way that you follow various people in different places and at different times, you do jump back and forward in time slightly which at first seemed a bit odd but actually works really well.
All in all a great listen if you enjoyed the first book in the series.

A towering success
A really gripping, and unpredictable story fantasy which I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend to lovers of this genre. Characters are complex and interesting and the story lines are similar. Excellent narration.

Excellent Listen
Would you consider the audio edition of Tower Lord to be better than the print version?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tower Lord?
It's very much a book of two halves - the first half being the development of the lead character and the second being him turning into the hero of the second book. I loved reading about his time at "school"
Any additional comments?
A really good listen - although you have to give it a chance to get going as it starts fairly slowly. Highly recommended though

Great story
Going to get the final one of the series now. Great stories and narration. I really go out now as I prefer to stay safe within my home and watch the unfolding story take place as if through my window. I feel so much a part of it', yet can press pause anytime 😊

Consistently Good
Although the structure changed from book one in terms of Chapter layout and perspective I thought it was a great addition to the series, can’t wait to start the third book.
