Excellent read.
I got this audiobook via a promo code and this is my voluntary review.
Tom the Turkey is scared to death in the first drawing the reader sees of him. He is shaking and sweating and the dread shows in his eyes. The November calendar is visible and we can see the reason for his trepidation... As the reader soon discovers he is nervous due to the upcoming Thanksgiving day feast. To try and calm himself down, he resorts to drinking 14 cups of sleepy time tea.
This book was written for ages 6 - 12 and grades 1 - 6 and is highly entertaining for those years. There are 5 stories and some really cute jokes at the end for the little ones to enjoy.
My favorite of the five stories was the last one entitled 'The Final Showdown'. In this one, the author shows that being friends is much better than being alone. That sentiment puts Jerky McJerkface and Tom the Turkey at the same table on Thanksgiving Day. And, no they will not dine on turkey but I won't tell you what they eat.
Most highly recommended for that Thanksgiving Day humor.
