Summary
Escape to the Isle of Skye this winter with bestseller Lisa Hobman, for this wonderfully romantic story.
After the heartbreak of a secret unrequited love, Millie Treadaway has finally found someone to spend her life with.
Harry Rose is handsome, successful and treats her like a princess. That is until Millie presents her fiancé with a surprise birthday gift, and their future is suddenly doomed.
Eight months later Millie returns to Glentorrin on the Isle of Skye for her best friend Jules’ Christmas wedding. Heartbroken, single and heavily pregnant.
Staying in Lifeboat Cottage with Jules’ brother, kindhearted Dexter, she’s given up on love and resigned herself to be the best single Mum ever.
But a shock phone call from Harry leaves her reeling and doubting herself and her decisions.
Do second chances work? Or is Dexter, right? That she deserves much more?
Can the festive spirit in Glentorrin, and a little stray Jack Russell terrier, heal her heart?
Or is she fated to remain a member of the lonely-hearts club forever?

simple story
narrator a bit annoying - - finally got used to listening to her tone of voice- although quite a predictable story it was very engaging -everything about each character was detailed in such a way that you knew the personalities very well and really wanted to know in the end what the future held for them- Enjoyable well told story.

Love, Love, Loved it!
just loved this story, the characters and the way it all unfolded. 'Harry' was a prize prat and had me talking out loud at Millie's foolishness! Thank goodness she finally found her voice!

What an idiot heroine!
Why anyone would make a surprise birthday gift of an unplanned positive pregnancy test wrapped up lots of boxes. And expect unsuspecting selfish boyfriend to be pleased. And feel sorry for herself, is beyond my understanding . I only got as far as chapter 3 . In this world of unwanted, unloved, children. I am left with steam coming out of my ears.

Brilliant Listen 4 🌟 Stars
This is the 1st Lisa Hobman book I have listened too.I bought it on a 2 for 1 credit and I am happy I did as it was such a great story. Harry always told Millie that he wanted children even though he didn't, he was lying. Harry proposed knowing Millie also wanted kids. When fiancee Millie gets pregnant unplanned whilst being on contraception, Harry wants Millie to Abort their baby and gives her an ultimatum if she doesn't!!!
No guy should force a woman into a termination, every pregnant woman should be on their unborn baby's side as you are their only voice and NO man is worth you losing your pregnancy/baby.
The narrator was also good and clear. I loved the character Dexter, he was such a lovely guy. I do recommend this book.
If you are intimate with someone without using ALL necessary precautions then you should know how things can turn out. If Harry didn't want children that strongly then he should have used a condom as well as Millie taking the contraceptive pill. All babies are blessings but sometimes some pregnancies like this one in the book is an absolute miracle💖!

Snowy Skye
Another wonderful story in Lisa’s Skye series. The characters are wonderful, the setting magical. So much so I even went there! The ups and downs of the plot were excellent and you hope that there will be the “right” happy ending. And even the villain thinks he’s doing the right thing-but for all the wrong reasons except his own. Thoroughly recommended and as ever brilliantly narrated by Eilidh Beaton who range of accents never cease to amaze. 10/10
