Summary

He stood there and stared at me for the longest time. I couldn't tell if he had finally snapped or was just trying to work everything out. All of a sudden, he grabbed me and pulled me to him. He held me tightly for the longest time. He started rocking me gently and said, "Oh…Thank heaven! I'm sorry that you've been captured. But you don't know how glad I am to see a friendly face."

I whispered back to him, "I know, believe me, I know." I couldn't think of anything else to say. I felt the tears fall down my face. "Oh Rex, to think how long I've waited to see you again and that it had to happen like this." I knew it was out of character for a secret agent to cry, but I couldn't help myself. We stood there and held each other silently. He didn't chastise me for crying and I didn't try to make any excuses. I was so lost and I didn't know what to do.
