Summary
Thursdays aren't simply another day of the week for Amy Spencer and Ellis Hall. Thursday afternoons sizzle with no-strings sex for the two women, who meet each week in a hotel room to forget their past - and their present.
The arrangement works perfectly for Amy, a busy surgeon who's still smarting from a failed relationship. For Ellis, Thursday afternoons act as a pressure valve from her cutthroat job and the mistakes in her personal life she's trying to rectify.
But soon the pair discover that their outside worlds are on a collision course with the carefully constructed world they've created on Thursday afternoons.
What will happen when they discover the truth about each other?
Will their weekly assignations come to a screeching halt, or will they turn into something much, much more?

Fantastic.
I love Abby Craden's voice. She's by far my favourite narrator. I love how this book goes straight into the story. Its not just a sexy book its also a great love story. This story reminds you that different roads lead to love.

Great
This slow burner into the lives of a surgeon and a auditor has you gripped from the start. It explores all areas of both occupations, past lives, hopes and dreams and a future happiness. You hear about a wayward teen who just wanted love and honesty, once gotten she turns her life round
I’m hoping there will be a follow on

don't miss
I began hesitantly unsure if I wanted to continue with the story. Then became involved as it developed and I found that it was not simply a romantic love story but an exploration of a
subject involving my country (England) as it is worldwide.

You had me at “narrated by...”
Let’s be honest, I’d listen to Abby Craden read the phone book and give it an overall 6 stars. But that said, it’s a sweet fun story by an author who’s new to me. A nice distraction from the world. Enjoy!

Feel good story, happy ending
Enjoyed this story, didn’t realize it was set in Canada till I got into it so bonus points for that. I liked that the author did not try too hard with unnecessary complexity or conflict. The characters behaved as people their age would, talking things through rather than letting a small miscommunication keep them apart. The narrator did well, although I didn’t like that she voiced Amy with a husky/masculine voice I found that rather “heteronormative”. It assumes that lesbian couples are all “femme” and “stud” which isn’t accurate

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS BOOK!
I'm sure we've all said, "I didn't want the book to end" at some point in a review, but, after finishing this audiobook, I couldn't mean it more. Thursday Afternoons was more than I expected. Sure, the main characters are busy, professional women who avoid relationships and decide to try a hookup as strangers, meeting on a Thursday in a hotel... they like it! how about next Thursday? yes! things are going great and they weren't expecting to like one another but they do. The characters find out who each other is in the real world since they were trying to be anonymous at the hotel dates. Amy is a surgeon and Ellis is from a company that is going to figure out what to change with the hospital because its losing money. There's sexual tension and work tension for both. oh also Ellis is watching her sort of one time step daughter who is 15 for the summer but that helps the story. Of course Amy and Ellis fall in love and have a perfect family. it was a great story and who doesnt love Abby Craden?!! I really wanted to continue listening to their story. Even when I saw I only had an hour left, I got bummed. I knew everything would be perfect at the end but I didnt want it to end. sounds sappy, but it's true. Thank you for the great listen!

Loved it!
Abby has got to be the best narrator, if not, she's definitely one of the best. This book was awesome and I didn't want it to end. The narration was excellent and the story was very engaging from the beginning to the end.

Love this author!
This was my first book by Tracey Richardson but I bought 2 more within 15 minutes of starting it. This was a very well developed story, well developed characters and great sex. Abby Craden narrating was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend.

Another great book
With Tracey Richarson’s writing and Abby Crade’s narration it has to be a winning book, and it is.
Great story, great plot, great characters. Love the beginning it was an interesting twist for a beginning of a love story.

Predictable
The story is far fetched and predictable. Started out interesting and then quickly went flat.
