Summary
Colt
I get to the Bar 9 and see Susanne McAllister disappear underwater.
My first instinct is to dive in and save her.
Just like I’ve saved her a hundred times until, ten years ago, one tragic night shattered our ‘odd couple’ friendship beyond repair.
I bet you wonder how I got here…
1. My ranch is running out of water.
2. Pops’ solution is to arrange a marriage between me and the eldest daughter of our water-rich, sworn enemies.
You guessed it.
Susanne McAllister.
3. Someone is coming after our families, raking up the troubled history of our small town, and forcing me to realize she’s always been the love of my life.
Now, I have to keep her safe by either letting her go when we meet the terms of our arrangement or making her love me back.
With so many things left unsaid, who knows what she’ll do?

swooned throughout
OMG this audiobook as just made my day. Stella and Connor are just perfection. They're the perfect power couple for Zee and Colt. They had my heart racing and swooning throughout. I honestly didn't think I could love this book anymore but boy was I wrong. Honestly this audiobook was just incredible if I could I'd give it more than the five huge stars I've already given it. You need to give it a listen it's incredible.

Perfect as Colt and Zee
🎧 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a fantastic listening experience performed in dual narration by two of my favourite voice actors.
Stella Hunter and Connor Crais delivered in spades as Susanne/Zee and Colton. These two brought out their emotional repertoire to full effect, adding so much to this wonderful story.
• Connor aced the cowboy vibes and showcased the protectiveness and swoony sides of Colt.
• Stella's lively and sanguine delivery conveyed perfectly the lonely young Susanne through to the feisty, passionate Zee.

amazing
I've read the book already and honestly, the side characters (Tee, Callan and the triplets) are all even more entertaining when listening instead of reading.
I love Connor's voice for Juliette 😂 It's perfect for her!
I loved this story so much. Zee & Colton are amazing, but I also love how we get little snippets of everyone else too!

Small Town Romantic Suspense
Things Left Unsaid is a sweet, small town slow burn romance with heat. The first book in a new series is set in a small Canadian town.
There has been a feud between Colt & Zee’s families for years, but unbeknownst to their families, they were friends until the moment they were not. Years later, both families force them to marry to save each family’s ranch.
We first meet Colt and the Korhonen brothers in Waiting Game, book 2 in the New York Stars series. From that moment, I knew I wanted to know more about him.
This is a fantastic start to a brand-new series. There are even with titbits of The Sinners thrown in. Connor Crais & Stella Hunter are excellent as Colt & Zee.

Beautiful performances for this gorgeous small town romance
"Only a sadist isn't into happily-ever-afters"- Cole Korhonen.
I didn't want this audio to end. I took my time to savour every chapter and glory in the warm hug this story offers. If you are a fan of G.A.Mazurke (or her alter ego Serena Akeroyd) this is a bit of a change of pace but is just as beautifully crafted. In fact, I think this series may turn out to be a favourite of mine.
Things Left Unsaid is a slow burning, arranged marriage, family, small town romance set around the world of Pigeon Creek and two family ranches. The slow burn is a delicious tease as our two leads are so crazily heated together. The chemistry crackles off the pages long before we get even the hint of a kiss. Zee, the FMC, is a loyal and dependable friend and passionate advocate for those she loves. She is a paralegal for the incredibly feisty and powerful Rachel (she is a whole other story. See Rex and Rachel from Serena Akeroyd) and gives her all to her life in NYC. You feel the love that people have for her and the importance she has in others lives from her goodbye with her boss to her bestie, Tee, taking charge of her diabetes alerts. The narrative gives such a depth to peoples emotions and the subtext behind all the character interactions.
Zee is called back to Pigeon Creek to help save her family ranch through an arranged marriage to her secret childhood friend, Colton. The McAllisters' and Korhonens' have been rivals for years and their marriage would form a powerful family union and progress both family ranches forward. The situation is not ideal. But to please her fearsome grand-mere, Zee is willing to play her part on her own terms.
Colton is the Korhonen patriarch. He has helped to raised his brothers and has tried to instil decency where their own father failed. He is strong, moral and fair to his employees and loved ones. He is the one who has to make the tough decisions and carry the weight of those with him. What he doesn't expect is a wife and Zee McKallister. She is no longer the girl he knew. She has grown and been shaped by the experiences of her childhood and the ills she faced alone. Colton's devotion to her is shown in the gestures that aren't in your face (diabetes management course anyone?). These two were always fated. It just took ailing ranches for their families to intervene and give fate a bit of a helping hand.
I always find Gemma's books easy to review. I could honestly write so much more about all the things I loved about this book. But the strongest feelings I have been left with are warmth and contentment. Colton is steady and dependable. And his life with Zee will be beautiful. Things Left Unsaid is a different feel than anything I've read by Gemma before and I am loving this new small town era. She writes it with love in her soul for these characters she creates.
Stella Hunter and Connor Crais are just delicious as Zee and Colton. Seriously, the audio is perfection!!!!
