About this listen

The Cambridge University witches have been meeting for as long as the university has been around. They meet mainly to discuss books, though they do so on the roofs of the colleges.

Only those invited can join; this includes Kat (a great spell caster and professor) and Cosima, Kat's sister, café owner and witch. However, when Cosima begins casting spells to attract a mate, everything starts to go wrong - she sets off a chain of events that turns each witch's world upside down....

A gentle easy read

I liked how the characters linked together, good mix with a hint of darkness. A gentle easy listening to.

Pleasant enough cosy story but not the best narration

The narrators attempt at French and Brazilian accents was rather up putting and cringey at times

overall enjoyable read

links the characters well. Good storytelling by the narrator. I got a bit lost and confused with N9ah's story but if I relisten I might get it better.

So far so good….

I’m afraid I got distracted by some of the pronunciation issues…..it’s “maudlin” not “mag del lynn”!

A touch of romance with a hint of magic, and some beautiful friendships ✨

Relatable characters with some real life issues that even magic couldn’t fix. A story of true friendship and finding strength within yourself to muddle through the rough patches.
Read beautifully 🌙✨
