Summary
At a car boot sale in Sussex, three very different women meet and fall for the same vintage teaset. They decide to share it - and form a friendship that changes their lives…
Jenny can't wait to marry Dan. Then, after years of silence, she hears from the woman who could shatter her dreams. Maggie has put her broken heart behind her and is gearing up for the biggest event of her career - until she's forced to confront the past once more. Alison seems to have it all: married to her childhood sweetheart, with two gorgeous daughters. But as tensions mount, she is pushed to breaking point.
Dealing with friendship and families, relationships and careers, highs and lows, The Vintage Teacup Club is heart-warming storytelling at its very best.

Female friendships
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was a chick lit story that was quite enjoyable as it was easy to listen to,
What did you like best about this story?
The bond of female friendships. The link between the 3 women at different stages in their life and it was vintage tea cups that brought them together.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The narrator's voice annoyed me at times, some times it was a bit rushed, and then sometimes she spoke in really girly voice.
Could you see The Vintage Teacup Club being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?
Possibly.

Good story
Overall I enjoyed the story, but I did feel the ending was wound up rather abruptly.

Fabulous
What an absolutely super book, a lovely story and wonderful change to all the thrillers and misery in the world. A great one to reflect on the importance of friends.

Nice story shame about the narrator
What did you like most about The Vintage Teacup Club?
It's an easy story to listen to whilst getting on with chores. A pleasant chick lit tale which moves quite nicely whilst not taxing the brain too much!
Would you listen to another book narrated by Clare Whitehead?
Not if I could help it. This was the downside of the book. The narrator quite often rushed with no pauses between sentences or, even worse, between paragraphs. At some points it got so annoying I nearly stopped listening. She doesn't really put any voices on to help you know which character is talking, or when she does she's not consistent or carries it on into the narration.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really, most events you could see coming, but the ending did make me smile.
Any additional comments?
I will look out for more stories by this author, although I hope she gets a different narrator.

simple, lovely and beautifully woven
there were 2 parts I was able to guess before they came, written a tad predictably but some great surprises I didn't see coming at all too! had me smiling satisfied at the end :)
