Show, showing is good
the brilliance of jourdyn Kelly is making you feel a hundred emotions in a sentence, most surprising following the first book, is laughter, 4am I burst after not wanting to put book down.
for all the times you wonder, " what happened next ", after finishing a book, book 1 is so complex; murder, mystery, crime, psychological, and book 2 is the finishing round-up of evils that got away. but book 3, forget about the wealth, is full of what we all go through in life, the complexity of being us.
love the narration again, love everything, just wish I'd found my Lainey, but wouldn't change being "grandma"

Highly emotive and highly addictive!
Absolutely loved this book on audible. It is amazing how much more you feel by listening instead of reading. At times you are so drawn into the book you it's hard not to feel the feelings and emotions that the story provokes. It's well written and narrated very well.

Beautiful Conclusion!
"Art is never a guarantee. Make sure that the people in your life are."
"Decisions are a strange thing. What you think is the right decision at the moment could turn out to be the worst decision you've ever made."
"No one should strive to be someone else. Only the best version of themselves. Even in their flaws, there is perfection."
This is the third book in the Eve Sumptor series. It could be read as a standalone, but it is much better to read the previous two books, "Something About Eve" and "Flawed Perfection" to get the depth of the relationship between Eve and Lainey. The therapy sessions with Dr. Woodrow really show us into Eve's inner turmoil.
Jourdyn Kelly does a wonderful job showing a myriad of emotions both individually as well as within the relationships. In the first two books, Eve battled some incredible demons. In this book, she is battling her toughest opponent: herself.
You will laugh, get angry, probably cry, and cheer!
The success of a book is when the author makes you feel. Jourdyn does an excellent job of making the characters believable. I loved the boys' development in this book! Bella was adorable!
Tessa Stavers does a great job capturing the emotions of the characters.

Absolutely Loved It
I have a love hate relationship with this book… I absolutely loved it and I hate that it is the last in the Eve Sumptor Series. The way Lainey comes into her own in this book is HOT! I will miss Eve and Lainey but I look forward to reading more of Jourdyn's books. This is a must read! I enjoyed it so much that I purchased it on Audible. Tessa Stavers narration is absolutely wonderful as usual.

Spoiler alert
I was so angry at the end of book one. The end was completely wrong for the obvious feeling and connections that were ignored.
I had already purchased books two and three and I read the reviews on them skeptically. I almost did as one reviewer suggested and skipped book two altogether. I decided to go into with my finger on the skip 30 seconds ahead button. I think it took me less than an hour to get to the end of it. I’m glad I didn’t totally skip it but I definitely had no desire to listen to the relentless and unnecessary fuckfest.
I only kept going because of the reviews on book three. Grappling with the trauma of her life was truly the only really insightfully written part of these books.
Honestly it should have been a single book with less unnecessary sex. I like sex and don’t mind listening to heterosexual sex if it’s beneficial to the story. For me love is love and the spicy scenes are important even when it’s not something I want to experience myself.
I gave a decent almost 5 star review on this book… but needed to also share my feeling about the others. I did not leave a bad review on the others I just chose not to review them at all.

Jourdyn Kelly, you are an amazing writer, this series is more than I could have possibly wished for.
