Sadly, a lot of the best selling Christian books can be pretty shallow. Both this and the 'Scent of Holiness' also by Constantina Palmer have beauty and depth. Some aspects will be surprising and unusual to Christians in the West, they are to me!

I would recommend both her books as a wonderous glimpse into Eastern Orthodox Christianity with it's great saints and heroes who maybe unfamiliar to many of us.
