Really thought provoking and easy to follow

I was worried that the audio version may be difficult to follow as I knew the book would be full of information. But the book really lends itself to the audio format and the narration by the author is absolutely pitch perfect.

I would never describe myself as stressed but this book is really making me think about how life could be easier, more fun and generally more rewarding. It's real food for thought and I keep thinking about what I have heard. 2019 plans are definitely going to incorporate some/a lot of the messages and tips in the book.

Highly recommend.

Simple steps to a happier and less stressful life.

Absolutely fantastic book packed with hints and tips on how to reduce stress in different areas of your life - a holistic view. Nothing new if you’re into a healthy mindful life, but presented in very simple and achievable manner. It would be helpful to get a download PDF with some of the tips to be able to go back / refer to them frequently. I have also bought a paper back to be able to do that... thanks.

Good book interesting material for all levels

If this is your introduction to self-help, personal growth, this is a great book to start with. And even if you're well read on the subject Chatterjee gives very good and clear analogies, for me there was some interesting new material too. Well worth the listen, would recommend :-)

Great listen but nothing life changing

Dr Rangan Chatterjee has a great voice for these books and his passion is clear - he posits many well discussed principles - and some from new angles - but despite his enthusiasm the book left no real imprint on me more than a couple of hours after listening.

If you've not visited the genre before this would be a great starting point, if you like Dr Rangan Chatterjee (and who wouldn't) you'll get to hear him for over five hours, for me it was company on five hours of walking but I felt lighter in the pocket than in the heart afterwards,

Helped change my mind set

Dr Chatterjee is easy to listen to without sounding patronising. He states the obvious but you need to hear it. It’s not rocket science, but biology... I will listen again and try implement more of his tips on living a healthier lifestyle.

Nothing new

This was my first audio book and I struggled to finish it. No new insights but was being read as "ground breaking" stuff, felt a little condescending at times. Each chapter (I only got as far as chapter 9 before I gave up) had 10-15 practices to follow / take aways, whatever you want to call it, which in my opinion is too much. Just felt like a mish mash of info, not the book for me. Didn't think I was particularly stressed before the book though everyone has stresses of varying levels, even the book calls out we have many MSD's in our every day lives, hence I can say it did nothing for me. It was a free audio book so I'm glad I didn't pay for it but sad to have wasted it.

his voice stresses me out

would have been much better if someone else had narrated this. the author's Channel 4 presenter style does not translate to this format. couldn't finish it as his voice makes me wince!

I felt like he knew me/easy to understand

I will have to buy this book. There were so many times when I felt he knew me. The chapter on touch was extraordinary. I come from a family that does not hug or touch. I'm also the black sheep. I kept thinking Doctor Chatterjee knew my life story and was talking directly to me. I have to pay for a massage therapist to get what I need. And now I know touch is a necessity not an option for a physically and mentally well person. There is so much more in the book. This is the one to read/listen to. And it is now one of my top five favorite books. He is brilliant.

If only I could find a GP like this!

Dr. Rangan Chatterjee is clearly a man that cares for his patients and those sick and in need. There are many doctors like this but what sets him apart and puts him in an elite category is his openness to being incorrect in the past and acknowledging that he still has more to learn. My area of academic interest is Heuristics and Bias in decision making. Doctors, senior politicians and pilots regularly feature as being amongst the worst offenders, Dr. Rangan Chatterjee not only bucks that but turns it on its head. I honestly believe he is one of the good guys along with Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Michael Mosley.
I strongly recommend both of his books. and I would like to thank for writing them.

Wishing my fellow readers/listeners the same positive experience that I had listening to this book.

Holistic wiew on the way to solve stress

I liked this book for being not only theoretical, but shoving a lots of tips how to start. It also gives you the choice about your preferences what to do. It explaines theory clearly, in the interesting way and explains what is going on and why. Narrator's voice is realy joyfull and comfortable to listen.

Thank you!

I grew up in Ethiopia, and since I have moved here 15 years ago, I was pretty much sucked in to the stressful lifestyle and had no idea how to get out of it. It's extremely helpful to see it from physiological perspective. I really appreciate you for taking the time to put it this way. just breath...

More likely it's a summary than authentic book

Whole book is like a summary of already well known stress reduction actions; author provided neither his own authentic insights, nor controversial thoughts. Therefore, it was boring to listen, i have learned nothing new. However, i hope there still be lots of people who will find this book useful.
