About this listen
Godlike Gilgamesh, King of Uruk, has built a beautiful city, but is also a terrible tyrant. In answer to the prayers of his oppressed citizens, the gods create Enkidu, a wild man whose destiny is to first fight Gilgamesh, and then become his life-long friend. They embark on adventures together, but when they kill the Bull of Heaven, Enkidu must pay the ultimate price.

Amazing narration
This fairly short story hooks you in. The narrator does an amazing job. Some of the voices are funny but I loved them. Short chapters and really nice translation keeps everything zipping along

Amazing Adventure and a great bedtime story
It was told as if you were just about to sleep and your favourite person recounted it for you. A tale that it is ever adaptable and full of meaningful life lessons. Highly recommend.

Concise narration
It is very enjoyable and easy to understand even for non-natives. It could be a bit longer in my opinion.

The best narration.
The sample did not do the narrator justice. Absolutely superb. Excellently told and beautifully translated.

A Great Epic in a Short Time
The prologue of this telling aims to place this ancient epic in a modern/timeless context. The dramatisation is great as a children's tale, amusing to me and helps me see how storytellers throughout the ages would have used this tale. It feels so fresh and has been so influential.

a perfect narrator
an old classic beautifully told and possibly the only recording available. It would be interesting if the book was chosen by the narrator.

Not the Epic of Gilgamesh
This is not the Epic of Gilgamesh but a children's story about the Epic. Nowhere in the product description is this stated.
