Summary
Complete six-book collection for one great price
From multiple-time Amazon number one best-selling author of over 40 books, Iain Rob Wright.
It's spreading....
The Scottish Highlands: a sparse, mountainous region some say was carved by the gods themselves. Few places are as untouched as this harsh, prehistoric landscape. It is no place for man. But nestled deep within the wilderness lies a cottage, and behind that cottage is a hill....
When Ryan Cartwright and a group of his closest friends hire a tiny cottage in the windswept Scottish Highlands to celebrate his upcoming wedding, they get more than they bargained for. Along with the deathly chill and the unforgiving landscape, they are about to discover something unimaginably ancient and unbelievably wicked.
With the party heating up, Ryan's childhood friend, "Mad fer it" Sean, fills his body with lager and pills, pushing everybody's patience to their limits, but the real party is yet to begin. You see, something else has gotten inside of Sean's bloodstream, something far more toxic than the booze and drugs. Something that is at first invisible, but slowly begins to grow...and spread...and kill.
If you love claustrophobic horror with an unhealthy dose of body-horror, then The Spread will knock your socks off. Get the complete six-book collection now and enjoy the entire story.

Brilliant Series
I've been following this series since the start. It absolutely doesn't disappoint. Iain is one of my favourite authors and I love reading his stuff. So much so I seem to be flitting between him and my other fave authors as they release something new non-stop!! Well worth a credit.

Exciting and emotive from start to finish!
Wow, what a bargain you get here - 6 books for one credit, a brilliant alien invasion apocalypse story with non-stop action and a great narrator. you become quickly invested in the characters, their personalities (which are portrayed excellently by the narrator), their relationships and their stories.
I loved this from start to finish and a shout out that it mentioned my home town of Stoke! I don't come across that very often at all!
it's very rare that I shed a tear at a book but I did have one rolling down my face near the end of book 6.
however there were too many laugh out loud moments to mention too, from start to finish.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough!

A truly British apocalyptic story
I love listening to apocalyptic stories but this is the first really British interpretation of the end of the world. Yes, it is corny, coincidental and comedic in places but the characters wound themselves into my heart and I truly will miss them and their adventures. There was seepage of philosophy, politics and even yoga but all done with heaps of British humour, tolerance and compassion. The start was a bit off- putting, some of the accents stereotypes but a great, great listen.

A story of heroism and friendship
I wasn't 100% convinced about acquiring this set when I read the first overview, and when I listened to the sample I was not immeditely taken by the narrator's voice. But, I am glad that I persevered. This is a great story about humankind's resilience and ability to forge alliances, bond and discover friendships. It is just another doomsday / disaster story, another good vs bad, but it has a humanity to it which I thoroughly enjoyed. The characters are all believable...the man or the woman next door, thrown together in adversity. We all know people like the main characters, and there are moments when you smile and laugh, and moments of sadness and tenderness. I found the author's wrting style very engaging and I found myself wanting to listen to the next chapter to find out what happened next, conjuring up images in my mind of the locations, scenarios and the characters in the story. And btw, by the end I had found another narrator who I have added to my favourites list
