  • Slumber
  • Awaken
  • Trance
  • Oblivion

From book one: Once upon a time a princess was betrayed, and her kingdom was stolen from her. She hid her most precious object in the human world, a princess of the blood, in the hopes that the Sleeping Court would get a chance to take their rightful place as high court in the realm Faerie.

Now, a new generation has come of age, and the crown must be passed. The reigning Queen’s daughter will claim the throne uncontested unless those that remember, and waited to awaken the wayward princess can ally with her.

But as with all tales of Faerie, it is not without peril, danger and intrigues. For our sleeping princess must awaken, choose her guard wisely, one that will help her save all her allies and avenge her family.

Or history will repeat itself.

A reverse harem romance.

Great world building, steamy RH story

I really enjoyed this series, the world building was excellent and well planned out. The characters were all interesting and different. There were a lot of people and names in the book, but they are introduced slow enough to follow.
Verity was brought up human, but she's a princess and potential heir to the Royal Court. She is introduced to the Fae world where she has to build up her Guard and prepare to take part in the royal trials against other princesses to see who becomes the next Queen.
There is lots going on to keep you interested, lots of royal politics, gossip, back stabbing and lots of steamy scenes with her Guard.

Narrator Joshua Macrae does an excellent job, he seems to have endless voices and accents and manages to keep everyone separate so you know exactly who is taking and when. I don't think I've listened to another narrator do such a great job, I would definitely listen to another with his voice.

I loved listening to book. The narrator is excellent.

It has reverse harem. The narrator helps with the heat, and makes your toes curl .

XXX Steamy, Sizzling Reverse Harem, WOW!

The Sleeping Court boxset is a rags to riches story, the heroine Verity is a struggling artist, over night she becomes the Princess of the Sleeping Court and in a competition to win the crown against the other princess's. From beginning to end the story flows beautifully, and is so easy to sink into, as the drama and intensity builds as you follow Verity's journey. Verity is a great heroine, unassuming at first, but strong and able to take out the trash, and there is a lot of trash for her to take out as she discovers corruption at the heart of faery. Verity has to call her guards to her and they are a diverse bunch, polished courtier to rogueish demon, each with a very specific skill set, including assassin, their magic is hers to call when needed.
The books are narrated by Joshua Macrae, who has a voice to die for and sounds like Nicholas Cage, he ramps up the heat at the steamy parts making them sizzle, its like he's talking dirty to you! Joshua Macrae turns this slow burn reverse harem into a sauna that needs XXX's added to it! This book should not be missed, I loved every minute of it and cannot recomend it highly enough!

Great series

The Sleeping Court is a fantastic reverse harem fantasy romance series. The storyline is entertaining and engaging loaded with drama, intrigue, suspense, steam, twists, and turns. Verity, our heroine, gets launched into an entirely new world, the Fae Court. Verity, a fae princess, has to fight for and claim her throne in The Sleeping Court. She develops powers, and to survive, she will need to learn to apply and control her abilities. The men are all intriguing, each holding a distinct but significant role in the Court and Verity's life. The supporting characters are interesting and contribute to the overall story.

I liked that the series is read by a male narrator. Joshua Macrae does a superb job with the characters, bringing them to life. Overall this is an entertaining and enjoyable audiobook, one I recommend. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Thoroughly enjoyable!

Loved the story, loved the characters, loved the sexy times. I enjoy a good faerie story and this one is definitely one of my favourites.
The narrator took a little getting used to, only because it was my first book by him but turned out to be great for this story.
Would definitely recommend!

Sleeping Court Full Series Bundle

Slumber - The Sleeping Court Book One

Verity Salim has been alone all her life, so when a letter arrives implying that she has an inheritance coming to her, she is just curious enough to meet the sender. After explaining that she is, in fact, a faerie princess and she has inherited an ancestral home in Slumber, Mr. Standish Orator leads Verity to a car and driver, Grodin, and leaves. Once Verity arrives, she meets the members of her guard one-by-one. Carrington Altemi greets her and shows her the house. Everett Baird introduces Verity to the acceptance of her guard. Nassar shows Verity the range of species available to her. Arien Craven shows Verity that her curiosity is not a bad thing. This book is the introduction to The Sleeping Court's members. Hopefully, the next book will introduce the world of the Fae.

Awaken - The Sleeping Court Book Two.

Verity Salim has claimed her inner court, and now she has to gain her hand of power. With several groups of people on the way to her sithen, Verity and her men must be prepared to defend against impostors and enemies alike. Prince Aziz of the Lotus Courts, an ally to the Sleeping Court, is one of the first to arrive. With his help, Verity navigates her way through several trials and is given a glimpse into Faerie's vision for her court.

Trance - The Sleeping Court Book Three.

Princess Verity, Prince Aziz and their courts are summoned to Fairy for the competition of their lifetime. The battle between the princesses of each court is on the horizon, and Verity must be prepared. The courts all meet and are thrust into Queen Poppy's version of the Highland Games. As tensions between the courts rise, casualties on both sides are inevitable. Can Verity gather enough strength and wisdom to beat Poppy and Adora, or will the new queen continue her mother's terror?

Oblivion - The Sleeping Court Book Four. Final Book in the series.

After the trials faced by Verity and the other princesses' guards, Verity must face down Adora to determine the next queen of Faerie. There are several trials each princess must win to pass on to the next level. While Adora has lived in Faerie her entire life, Verity has the support of several other courts, each of which is willing to help her move forward. Even Prince Aziz is involved in the trials. But even with Faerie on her side, can Verity truly win against an enemy so ruthless as the daughter of the current ruler?

Good story

I enjoyed this book and having all the books in one was great saves time having to go into to change for the next book. However I could not get into the narrator I stuck it until the end of the book it might just be me so I’ll give another book a chance.
