Summary

Back by popular demand, the best-selling Politically Incorrect Guides provide an unvarnished, unapologetic overview of controversial topics every American should understand.

The Politically Incorrect Guide to Christianity offers answers to the secular world's criticism of Christianity's history, traditions, and beliefs.

You think you know about Christianity, but did you know....

  • God likes "organized religion"; it's clear from both the New and Old Testaments
  • Christians have always believed that men and women are equal
  • The correct pronoun for angels is "he"
  • Science was stillborn everywhere outside the Christian West
  • Christianity, which first taught the world to value victims, is now the victim of a victimhood culture
  • Many "miracles" are actually historical facts
  • Famous athiests haven't been disinterested seekers of truth, but individuals with "issues" of their own
  • Planned Parenthood kills more people every six days than the Spanish Inquisition killed in 350 years

The Simpson’s Duff-Man trying to convert you to Christianity

I’d previously listened to the Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam which was much better. This book explains Christian beliefs but misses out the history and facts. It came across extremely bias.
I’d summarise it as one man explaining his interpretation of Christianity and his particular beliefs read aloud by someone who sounds like Duff-Man from The Simpsons.
I was hoping for something more analytical.

A fair attempt at addressing error

I thought this might be a but more punchy than it was, but the author makes a number of points worth hearing. The early chapters dealing with the trinity should have come later as they are so dry as to put off listeners. The use of scripture risks sounding a bit like proof texting, especially when seeking to support extra biblical doctrines like purgatory.
