A decades old secret . . .

When Kat Jourdan discovers a priceless collection of Dior gowns hidden in her grandmother's remote cottage, she delves into the mystery of their origin, determined to know more about her beloved grandmother's secret past.

An unspeakable betrayal . . .

In England, 1939, talented pilot Skye Penrose is flying for the Royal Air Force. She soon meets a mysterious Frenchwoman named Margaux Jourdan, and with her is Catherine Dior, the sister of the renowned designer. Together, they have no idea of the danger that lies ahead . . .

Three women bound forever by war.

As Kat attempts to solve the mystery of the past, her grandmother's hidden life comes to light. But could it be that some secrets are best left buried?

Spellbinding, a beautiful story.

Quite the best book I’ve listened to on Audible. Fascinating, harrowing as well, based on history. Just a beautifully written story. Definitely recommend it.

Left me wanting... more.

I was gripped all the way through. Lester had thoroughly done her homework on this book. I could see the places she spoke of & almost be there with the characters. The story kept me guessing right till the end almost. A great read that deals with many difficult subjects. It has left me wanting more.

Fiction based on history

Wonderful story set out over many years so you become immersed in the characters.

Easy to follow but not so simple that you would zone out.

Narration was spot on and bought all the characters to life,

My only negative is the book cover is too twee.

Absolutely fantastic

If you are interested in fashion, you will love this as the book centres around Christian Dior be and his sister, and a fashion conservatoire trying to piece together what happened in the 30"s in Paris from his clothes. Another masterpiece by Natasha Lester - you can't wait until you finish her books and then you are so disappointed when you do as you have to wait until the next one.

Fabulous

Honestly the best audiobook I’ve ever listened to. A fabulous storyline, but more importantly a lot of WW2 prisoner of war and SOE information I’ve never heard before.
I highly recommend this book. I could ramble for hours about this novel but please just listen to it!

A really good read

It isn’t very often a story really grips me but this one did. Without giving anything away, it’s very emotive and I found tears in my eyes at the end.
Brilliant writer, well researched story and a very rewarding listen/book.
Very well written.
The synopsis on Amazon was engaging, as many are, but this one surpassed my expectations and really delivered.
Highly recommend.
