About this listen
The New York Times best seller that’s changing America’s diet is now perfect for younger listeners.
“What’s for dinner"? seemed like a simple question - until journalist and supermarket detective Michael Pollan delved behind the scenes. From fast food and big organic to small farms and old-fashioned hunting and gathering, this young listeners’ adaptation of Pollan’s famous food-chain exploration encourages kids to consider the personal and global health implications of their food choices.
In a smart, compelling format with updated facts, plenty of photos, graphs, and visuals, as well as a new afterword, The Omnivore’s Dilemma serves up a bold message to the generation that needs it most: It’s time to take charge of our national eating habits - and it starts with you.

Great perspective on the food chain for those interested in nutrition. I would like my teenage children to read it!

Everyone should read this book
This book should be made compulsory in schools, it really highlights the problems we face as consumers regarding intensively farmed foods. It's well presented and is engaging all the way through. Highly recommended

Thought provoking. Engagingly narrated
Being a vegetarian I had no difficulty in the author's choices. I found his compassion for animals and consideration for the decisions we all make heart warming. There's room for everyone in his philosophy.

If you eat, you must read this
Well I admire what Micheal Pollan has done in this book. At times I didn't want to read bits, too sad. But if I can't read about it then I shouldn't eat it.
I'm a reductarian (vegan 4 days a week) and this book explains why....... for our planet..... for my health..... for animals and humanity!
