About this listen
Imagine how dominant you would be if you consistently played poker in the zone. You make all the right decisions, know instinctively when to bluff, and are unfazed by a losing hand. You're locked in and feel unbeatable.
It's shocking how many poker players stumble into this elusive state of mind. As quickly as that euphoric feeling of invincibility arrives, it's gone. And no matter how hard they try, they can't get it back. Until now.
In The Mental Game of Poker 2, author and renowned poker mental game coach Jared Tendler breaks down the zone and delivers actionable steps to help players get there consistently. He demystifies the zone, and for the first time, brings logic and order to this previously misunderstood concept. Above all, Tendler's straightforward, client-tested approach will have you playing at higher levels than you ever thought possible.
This book provides proven strategies to:
- Consistently play in the zone.
- Play poker longer and across more online tables.
- Improve decision making.
- Learn faster.
- Eliminate C-game mistakes.
- Increase focus and discipline.
Poker is constantly evolving and is as cutthroat as ever. Whether you're at the top of the game or just starting out, you should be looking for new and better ways to keep up and outpace your opponents. The Mental Game of Poker 2 arms you with the tools to thrive in today's increasingly competitive environment.

great pointers , was skeptical but wow genius
this is the best book I have encountered about poker , never mind strategy when he talks about being in the zone i could relate to it. Not one thing did I disagree with. He talked about golf too much though in the first book . Other than that no complaints. I will listen to this until I know it word for word.

Best mental coaching poker book bar none
Would you listen to The Mental Game of Poker 2 again? Why?
This book isn't just about affirmations and focusing on doing well at the table. Tendler manages to drill deep into the questions you've always had with your game. The adult learning model is just one of the mental framework models that keeps you thinking and analysing way after the book is finished. Would definitely read again to refresh and re assess.
What did you like best about this story?
Mental framework models. Gradual progressive analysis of your own game.
What about Jared Tendler’s performance did you like?
Clear and concise.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This audio book needs to be listened to in chunks. The chapters and pointers are either a sweet or acquired taste. Point being. Tendler allows the listener to consider each segment of their own game by way of association to the subject. The good, the bad and the downright ugly parts of our game.
Any additional comments?
Only recommended for people at an advanced level and wanting to take their mental game further. It's certainly made me think about my game in a much more structured way.

Very good at saying nothing
I admire books like these. They can say very little many times in different ways. If you’ve made it past chapter two well done. I couldn’t find any practical advice. Sorry.
