A RELAXING LISTEN

I enjoyed it, having read the book I knew what to expect.
What I must say is that she’s no gardener, and makes the most glaring errors. I expect an author of her calibre to at least research the subject properly.

Absolutely love this book!

A very special book, and an annual read since my mother gave it to me nearly 40 years ago! ❤️

Beautiful

Susan Hill takes you away to a place of beauty and gentle homely interests. To be enjoyed again and again by anyone who truly loves the unspoilt British Countryside and all it has to offer.

A bit dated

Lovely content but a bit dated now (written 35 years ago!) and the narration makes the author sound a bit smug. Grated on my nerves at times.
