The most comprehensive forex "starters guide"
For beginners, Intermediates and experienced traders. this book is an excellent tool to help understand some of the ins and outs of the forex world. Full of really useful tips and information. I cannot recommend.this book enough. I've purchased the eBook, the audio book, and will very shortly be purchasing the physical copy too. For newbies, I would recommend spending a few months getting your head around the forex world (baby pips school of pipsology website), then practice with a trading account for about 12 weeks before using this book. it will probably make more sense than if you would jump straight into a book. there is no 'quick route' in learning forex. but this book is definitely a big step in the right direction. nice to hear Rob Booker mentioned too! great mentor and trader.

A very useful introduction to Forex
I am relatively new to the Forex market, and found this audiobook both a timely review of my scant knowledge with some important additions such as the proper use of Bollinger bands, moving average data, and the importance of fundamentals, planning, and the best time to enter and exit trades. I found some parts a little confusing where there is reference to a chart, which of course I can't see. I can listen to that chapter again of course. Walter does a good enough job, though it would have been nice to have a lady narrator, or even Kathy herself. I suspect this was done to appeal to a wider audience? The 'got it, get it, good' catchphrase soon lost its appeal. Her other book is now on my wish list. Enough said.

Brilliant book but…
This brilliant little book could have been twice as good if it was half as long. Too many tangential stories. But it is still a highly worthwhile use of your time!

Good but could have been better
This book is good for understanding the Forex market better. It has actually changed my perception to the market from a very dangerous and unexpectable market to a very predictable market that can be utilized to increase my monthly income or even to invest in it after my retirement.
The disadvantages are that it omits so many important details especially on charts and charts' reading. It focused on one chart only (The Double Bollinger Bands) and did not mention enough details about other famous and important charts (Stochastic, RSI, ADX, MACD, Momentum, etc.). While the first chapters have been utilized to provide introductory materials about trading in general, it would have been utilized better if it talked about charts and technical indicators, the pros and cons of each, and what benefit does each one provide. But to be fair with the author, she has mentioned another book to refer to when seeking for more details on charts and it is called "The Art of Charts Reading".

Good trading book, little light on forex specifics
I quite liked this one, unlike many trading books, it has an admirably rigorous focus on risk management, and doesn't treat as a minor matter to be briefly dispensed with before going back to telling you about the easy millions to be made, as some trading books do. However for some reason the author thinks this point cannot be made without numerous metaphors, which I don't feel I needed.
It also has a solid grounding in the importance of planning and controlling psychology (which in my experience you can only really learn the hard way). And there's also some specific criteria and advice about the authors own trading which gave me some new material to work on.
I would however have liked a bit more information that was specific to the forex markets, as I already have a grounding in much of the more general material covered. As often with the "little books" series, it could have done with being a bit less little, and a bit more expansive. They are after all written by people who know their subject well.
The narrator does a perfectly adequate job. Although a personal hang-up of mine is audiobooks that have a narrator of the other sex to the author.
