A must read for all business women

I purchased this book with the goal of learning about becoming a leader in my workplace. Although the book is tailored toward the Black female, I found the book to be informative. The book takes a real-life approach to the struggles that most women face when striving to become a leader in her organization. The "Mammaisms" make the book even more enjoyable by throwing in sayings that I heard in my home growing up. I highly recommend this book for all women in business.

What does Shari Peele bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Inflection and I think hearing someone else's story is essential for a connection. You can more readily believe them and put things to action.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

To stand up for yourself, know your limitations and if need be walk away from a job when you find a better one. Be true to yourself.

I enjoyed the different readers and the different stories. I look forward to another book.

MAMAism, as a woman and big sister I could really relate with this and this was my greatest lesson from this book.

She reads slow and stresses the right important areas. She made the book a great listen.

MAMAism, emotional intelligence, the art of war, general leadership.

Loved it!

As one of the only black woman in a leadership position in a large organization, I was beginning to feel the impact of microaggressions, and feeling unappreciated, underestimated, misunderstood, and unaccepted. I started this book at the perfect time. It was like a breath of fresh air, and it renewed my perspective on where I was, and where I'd like to be. I finally felt like I was not alone, and it offered useful easy to adopt tips.

Overall I thought the book was very insightful. I am a black woman who has been in leadership in Corporate America for some time now , and I still found some "Aha" moments in this book. Will definitely recommend.

Manual for Navigating Leadership Roles

I rated this book 5 stars overall because it was concise, clear and immediately useful. The tips provided can be implemented immediately and there were also long term suggestions for development presented.

What made the experience of listening to The Little Black Book of Success the most enjoyable?

Very conversational. Felt as if you were sitting with your girlfriends talking about your day.
