About this listen
The last survivors of humanity have just been deposited on Pandora, a horrific, poisonous planet rife with deadly nerve-runners, hooded dashers, airborne jellyfish, and intelligent kelp. The determined colonists attempt to establish a bridgehead on the deadly, inhospitable planet, but more trouble arises. Their sentient ship - backed up by an impressive array of armaments - has decided it is God and is insisting the colonists find appropriate ways to worship it.
In an attempt to help the people pass its test, Ship awakens chaplain-psychiatrist Raja Flattery from hibernation. Either the humans pass the test - or the human race could be destroyed.

Well-written dialogue and skilfully-developed characters in an adventure story that drew me in, with Scott Brick on top form, so that I was slightly saddened to reach the end.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Jesus Incident to be better than the print version?
They complement each other. It is a new experience to be able to listen to a well loved and many times read book.Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Yes. Very good performance.Any additional comments?
Intelligent science fiction. I wouldn't be surprised if this was Cameron's inspiration for his film Avatar. However this is a far superior story.Frank herbert never dissapoints

Good story

Almost nothing feels grounded in science and it's more a debate about slavery and objectification of humans in the form of clones.
Would not go trough it again.
Better not.

It isn't helped by the narrator who speaks in a monotone for most of the book. The characters are bland and uninteresting.
Such a pity.
Story is far too long and tedious. Not recommended
