Summary
The Convent of Mary the Queen sits majestically on beautiful grounds miles from the nearest town. Years ago, something so sinister and evil happened in the convent, something so dire that no one speaks about it.
Therese is excited to become a nun; it has been her lifelong dream. She enters the convent with much happiness and enthusiasm, ecstatic that her dream has now become a reality.
She works hard, and prays hard. The sisters are overjoyed to have a young woman join them, and Therese soon falls into the daily rituals of the convent.
But when chilling apparitions appear, voices are heard out of nowhere, and encounters of the most evil and deadly kind occur, a terrified Therese finds herself losing her religion. When she goes searching for answers, she discovers such a grisly answer that her faith is put to the test. Staying means a sure death but leaving means losing her dream and life as she has ever wanted it to be.

Make Jill proud.
Apart from a prologue, The Haunting of Krakow Convent, is told from the perspective of Theresa, a young college graduate who, one week before, fulfilled her life ambition to become a nun by entering the convent. At first very happy, she quickly finds herself facing terrors which she cannot explain to herself or the other nuns.
This is a creepy, atmospheric story, enhanced for the reader by for knowledge of the convent which the main protagonist does not have.
Narrator, Will MacDonald does an admirable reading, his vocal inflections communicating the terror felt by Theresa together with her growing feelings of disassociation.
