Fantastic Body of Work
Big fan of Jon’s (& Adam Young) podcast and his calm and sensible advice to play better golf. I bought this book in paper back but found it much more digestible in Audio, maybe I’m just lazy! Jon validates a lot of common sense ideas you can easily overlook, E.g. take more club, aim centre green, default to driver etc. look forward to putting this into practice!

Great for course strategy tips and statistics
Fantastic book. I enjoyed it so much that I finished it much quicker than normal and took loads of useful notes. Some really fantastic insights about why to make certain choices on the course. Also a lot of great advice on the mental side of the game and enjoying yourself even when you have an off day. Highly recommended for any golfer.

The best golf book I’ve ever read
Wonderful pace to the book - Jon presents a truly credible answer to the lost art of scoring and course management in golf. For those golfers chasing birdies lost in a sea of swing thoughts this book will clear the fog. I’ve been golfing for 40 years since the age of 8. I’ve had advice, lessons, read countless books and this (for me) is the best book I’ve encountered- I’m so glad the ‘secret’ is in plain sight! Good man Jon!

Great book, poor reading
The content of this book is of undeniably high quality and is unquestionably useful to all golfers. Sadly, I was distracted from a lot of it by Jon’s odd reading style which has a weird and unnatural inflection, placing emphasis on the wrong words.
e.g. If I were to say, “I’m going to tell you what to do,” I wouldn’t place the emphasis on ‘you’. Jon does, nearly every time. I found it infuriating, sorry.
