Ursula K. Le Guin has won multiple prizes and accolades, from the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters to the Newbery Honor, Nebula, Hugo, World Fantasy, and PEN/Malamud awards. She has had her work collected over the years but never as a complete retrospective of her longer works, as represented in the wonderful The Found and the Lost. Excellent, except for one thing...

The works by Le Guin and the delivery by the two readers are as excellent as I expected.

However, the anthology contains no chapter headings. Indeed, you don’t even get a simple list of the works included. This makes it difficult to keep ones place.

So here, for reference, are the works included.

-Vaster Than Empires and More Slow
-Buffalo Gals, Won't You Come Out Tonight
-Hernes
-The Matter of Seggri
-Another Story or a Fisherman of the Inland Sea
-Forgiveness Day
-A Man of the People
-A Woman's Liberation
-Old Music and the Slave Women
-The Finder
-On the High Marsh
-Dragonfly
-Paradises Lost

Disappointing Audible couldn't provide chapters

Disappointing Audible couldn't provide chapter titles.
Material excellent, narration good.

Check Martin Walkers review as he has added the titles that Audible didn't

Short stories in other worlds.

This is the first Le Guin book I have listened to (or read) and I wasn't sure what to expect. That this is a series of short stories make it accessible to a Le Guin novice and also allows the listener to begin to understand her different worlds and her narrative idiosyncrasies. I enjoyed this audiobook enormously. I listened to 'Buffalo Gals won't you come out tonight' a number of times. If the story was not on this compilation I would not have chosen to listen to Buffalo Gals as I really don't like the title. However the story is a bitter tale that struck me to such an extent I cannot stop imagining it and playing it over in my head. It has followed me like a ghost.

The found and the lost

Excellent mix of Earthsea, Hain and other novellas. Good performances by both narrators: enjoyed this.

Wonderful collection, excellent narrative.

A fantastic means to delve into Ursula Le Guin myriad of worlds, even for the first time. 35 hours flew by. One of my best audible purchases.

Captivating ideas, outstanding narrators

A great selection of Le Guin's work, very varied, enjoyed some genres more than other, which was to be expected. Buffallo Gals and Paradises Lost being personally the most memorable. Great listen for many evenings!

Some wonderful concepts wrapped in dreamy worlds

Some tales better than others. Some are absolutely brilliant. All are worth a listen. Personal highlights were buffalo gals, a women’s liberation and paradises lost.

Chapter 11 Searoad

Chapter 11 is the novella "Searoad" absolutely mind-blowing. Incredible language and imagery and insight. Many layers of meaning.

Le Guin never disappoints

loved all of the titles in this. I preferred the Hainish Cycle related ones over the Earthsea ones, but that comes down to personal taste. all great.

not my cup of tea, mostly blah blah blah, with the occasional story breaking out.
