Summary
The Flying Flamingo Sisters—Flo, Faye, and Franny—are back for another hilarious, heartfelt, and soaring adventure in their barnstorming biplane! This highly anticipated sequel from best-selling author Carrie Seim will delight fans of Indiana Jones, Encanto, and Lemony Snicket. Performed as a 1930s radio drama, it’s bursting with humor for all ages, orchestral scoring, and famous voices from stage and screen.
Convinced that their dastardly uncle Freidrich has escaped with their family fortune, the Flamingo Sisters return home to the Upper Lower Valley Mountain Rural Region in despair. But when their beloved mentor Elsie de la Rue goes missing—and they discover a new clue that may lead them to their lost Golden Flamingo—the three sisters take off on another thrilling chase in the skies! They join the death-defying pilots of the Women’s Air Derby, then hopscotch from New York to France to Egypt, determined to stop their uncle (who believes girls should never fly aeroplanes) from spreading evil across the globe.
The Flamingo Sisters must use wits, courage, and derring-do to solve secret codes (and sibling spats), trek through terrifying temples, rescue their ace pilot parents, and save Elsie de la Rue. Not to mention themselves!

Enjoyed and Learned Aviation History
Enjoyed and learned a little aviation history. It was nice to learn a little bit more about Betsy and female wind walker among other things. Had a lot of humor with the lead a bit of modern tidbits weaved into the story.

Amazing second chapter and lighthearted adventure
My nieces (ages 9, 11 and 12) have been eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Flying Flamingo sisters since we read about the first story in the New York Times as a "best audio book for road trips" selection two years ago. Flamingo's two (ie Part-Deux) provides a satisfying conclusion to the story and features all the things we liked about the first story amped up to "eleven" once more.
The three Flamingo sisters are all smart, resourceful and delightful young ladies who use intelligence, resourcefulness and ingenuity to solve problems and outwit the bad guys. The girls fly their way across the United States, Europe and North Africa as the story unfolds. The entire Flamingos saga is a fun evocation of a grand adventure in the spirit of Indiana Jones, Duck Tales or the Mummy with exotic locales, big action sequences, spectacular aerobatics, dastardly villains and at the center three amazing and talented young ladies in the lead roles. Just like the first book, the lighthearted story rollicks along at a breakneck pace featuring humor, witty wordplay and heart in equal measure. The side characters who populate the story (Bessie Bolt was our favorite) liven up the story as well. The audio is in the style of an old-timey radio drama and includes background music and sound effects to heighten the listening experience and features a talented cast of voice actors who all bring their "A" games to the performance. We finished the story in one listen on a drive from New York to Boston and the girls immediately wanted to hear the whole story again. A delightful diversion for the whole family perfect for a rainy weekend afternoon or a long drive.

Fun & Empowering
I enjoyed listening to this two part children's adventure though I am grandma aged. It's a really delightful story and introduces a bit of aviation vocabulary while inspiring would be aviators and a can-do attitude.

Just as good if not BETTER than the first!!
Following the first one is pretty tricky but I think they pulled it off just perfectly. Story plot is amazing and usually my family doesn’t let me share my audiobooks in the car and stuff but with the flying flamingo sisters they were willing to repeat it over and over made me happy that they liked the second one so we can listen to something new and fresh!

Holy Guacamole, Flo, Fay, and Franny Have Done It Again
This is a great story for kids and adults, with fabulous characters from the Flying Flamingo Sisters to their sinister uncle Fredric who are dramatized brilliantly by the voice actors and accompanying foley sounds and music. As a parent I love the female protagonists, and my kids think it’s a hilarious story. The Great Depression setting adds an interesting historical element. We have read the first one multiple times and the sequel did not disappoint.

Another action filled adventure
My daughter has been waiting for this book to come out since bingeing the first audiobook over ten times (I think I’ve memorized most of the lines).
It’s wholesome and delightful action adventure girl power that’s perfect for creative kids who aspire to become great. As a parent I love it too. The cast is phenomenal and the story is just right.
