Book 3 is awesome.
The narrator did a superb job with Granddad. Sakes Alive, it's is a good series. Can't wait to start the next book. My husband and I listen to a segment every night before bed. Great way to wind down for the night.

Tarnal is way overused
This had the potential to be a good story without the word “tarnal” being used so frequently. It became a joke in our house and I am seriously hoping the grandfather isn’t in the next book. I’d return this one if I could.

Rich Detail of American Roots
This well told true story will place you right in the mist of what it was like to be carving out a life of farming in the pristine Maine of 1915

One of our favorite audiobooks ever!
Our family listened to this on a road trip and even my husband was engrossed in the story and it kept us awake and enjoying the long drive. Captivating story and narrator is perfect! Great read for the entire family.

Family pleaser
This story is so real and educational and an example of character... We've read or listened to it several times and we will again. You get something out of Ralph Moody's childhood stories every time.
