"Rosamund Pike brings a fresh narration to the first book in the beloved Wheel of Time series. At 33 hours, this audiobook is no small undertaking, but Pike's impressive performance leaves listeners wanting more."—AudioFile (Earphones Award winner)

“Through her smooth, dramatic performance, award-winning actor Rosamund Pike amplifies the new audiobook of book one in Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series.”—BookPage

A #1 New York Times bestselling audiobook!

The Wheel of Time is an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

This program is read by narrator Rosamund Pike, star of the hit Prime Video original series.

The Eye of the World, the first novel in Robert Jordan's #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, follows Moiraine Damodred as she arrives in Emond's Field on a quest to find the one prophesized to stand against The Dark One.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

When a vicious band of half-men, half beasts invade the Two Rivers seeking their master’s enemy, Moiraine persuades Rand al’Thor and his friends to leave their home and enter a larger unimaginable world filled with dangers waiting in the shadows and in the light.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of fans around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

it feels like I'm reading the wheel of time for the first time again! Rosamund Pike brings wonderful characterisation throughout, great accents , singing and more.

It's not a comparable performance with Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, which I have listened to for hundreds of hours; they're both brilliant ❤️

a fantastic new reading of a classic

I don’t normally leave reviews but I was blown away by this audiobook and really feel it deserves recognition… I already loved the books and decided to try the audiobook as I now don’t have time to re-read them, and I have just been so impressed with Rosamund Pike’s narration! Her voices are excellent and unlike many narrators I have heard she really acts the dialogue. She’s SO good, seriously - if you are on the fence about getting it just do it you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Rosamund Pike - Please, please PLEASE do the rest of the books! There’s no way I can listen to any other narration now. You have ruined me.

Rosamund Pike is a Revelation!

I have been a huge fan of this series since the first book was published. Yes, it takes a while to get to the action but I like the character driven story.
I tried the original audio version but couldn't get through more than 3 chapters due to the narration. Rosamund Pike has done a fantastic job and I sincerely hope we get the rest of the set from her, I'm saving credits in the hope that we will

So much better than original narration

I'm only a few chapters into this but am loving it. The story and characters are rich, with an excellent storyline but the narration makes it a joy to listen to.

Excellent story with outstanding narration

I'd already listened to Michael Kramer's version of The Eye of the World, and he is an amazing narrator but this version by Rosamund Pike is just *chef's kiss* amazing.
Rosamund comes up with amazing voices for each character and adds gravitas to the story. I just love it.
Now for the story itself, I loved this story already!

Rosamund's voice is fantastic

I've tried to read these books a couple of times and really struggled with them. So after enjoying the show I thought I'd give the audiobook a go. it's excellent, Rosamund Pike does such a good job narrating the book. I really really really hope she reads some of the others!

stellar performance

Great rendition.given her voice range, I thought the narrator did a fine job with male voices a bit jarring at times though.I hope she is contracted for the rest of the books.I don't think I can bear previous narrators.

Really enjoyed it

I was so excited to see that this book has been recorded again with a British voice (I found the other version uncomfortable to listen to) . Rosalind Pike does a fantastic job of narrating this epic book and I really hope she will continue to narrate the other books!

Fantastic narration of The Eye of the World

I've read all the books but with the TV show now out I wanted to revisit the story again. No offence to him, but I really dislike Michael Kramer's narration, which has stopped me after having to slog my say through is robotic delivery of the Brandon Sanderson novels. Rosamund Pike is a breath of fresh air. Her performance across the board is stunning, and easily the best audiobook I've listened to. It's a pleasure to listen along. I do hope she does the rest of the series.

Great story, absolutely awesome performance
