This program is read by narrator Rosamund Pike, star of the hit Prime Video original series.

The Eye of the World, the first novel in Robert Jordan's #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, follows Moiraine Damodred as she arrives in Emond's Field on a quest to find the one prophesized to stand against The Dark One.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

When a vicious band of half-men, half beasts invade the Two Rivers seeking their master’s enemy, Moiraine persuades Rand al’Thor and his friends to leave their home and enter a larger unimaginable world filled with dangers waiting in the shadows and in the light.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of fans around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Outstanding narration

No offence to the previous narrators of this series of books…. However it’s a refreshing narration.
All the characters are easily recognise able.
A job very well done.

Beautifully Narrated

A wonderful piece of narration, Rosamund Pike is the best female narrator I've ever heard. I've attempted to listen to this series multiple times. however the quality of the previous versions was severely lacking. This is a shame as Michael Kramer is a good narrator, again however, the quality was too low to get past. With Pike, that isn't a problem. Her voice is beautiful and consistent. I cannot wait to hear the next ones read by her.

That was awesome!

I had this in my TBR list and the tv show sparked my interest so I decided I would have this as my book for my stay in hospital and it has been so worth it!

Rosamund Pike is a wonderful actress but her reading of this is just fantastic. I dislike the pair that read the others so hoping Rosamund will do the rest of the series otherwise a paper copy for me!

Rosamund Pike slays this narration 🔥

Rosamund Pike really made this book enjoyable for me. I give the book itself 4 stars but it gets bumped up to a 5 because of the narrating. There are some issues with this book, the way the women are written is questionable and it’s filled with asides that sometimes seem out of place. Overall though a great book to listen to while doing other things like work or driving or walking. I am definitely planning to listen to the whole series, I just hope the Rosamund Pike recordings can keep up! 😂 I managed to finish this one in two weeks

Amazing Narration

I listened to this after watching the TV show and absolutely loved it. Rosamund Pike’s narration is incredible and transports you into the world of The Wheel. I’d love to know if She will return to do more of these as I don’t think I can hear the rest of the story told by anyone else.

Rosamund Pike is brilliant

It’s very rare you hear such good performance from a narrator as Rosamund Pike. The books comes alive in a whole new way. Well done!

We’ll read but sound level varied

Good start to an epic fantasy series. Good narration in terms of performance, but the sound levels were very annoying. When she whispered you could barely hear it and when she shouted in character it was annoying loud - would have been much more enjoyable if they have levelled out the audio as you’d still get the performance.
