About this listen
The new Dorothy Martin mystery
Dorothy Martin and her husband, retired Chief Constable Alan Nesbitt, are on holiday in the idyllic English village of Broadway when they stumble across the body of a man who appears to have fallen down a disused quarry. When it is revealed that the man, a local farmer, was probably pushed over the edge, and that the police have failed to find any suspects or motives for the murder, Dorothy can’t help but get involved…

too much rubbish about food and scenery.
Slow boring narrative. Too much distraction from the plot with nonsense about vistas and food.
weak plot and slow build up to stupid ending. Luckily I didn't spend a credit.

Several hours too long
I can eat, but this lot eat more than the Famous Five with the munchies. I think we can do without hints of old person sex, too. Never did find out the dog's real name (I could've zoned out by then). I don't think anyone has been excited about shopping at EWM. You actually don't care about any of the characters to worry if they all fell into a quarry. Except, maybe, the dog.
