Summary

A mystery as old as the desert sands...

When teenagers Jay and Lila Cooper and their archaeologist father travel to Nepur, an uninviting land of deserts and danger, they must search to uncover the truth behind an ancient legend. Locals claim that inside a dark cavern called the Dragon's Throat is a forbidden Door that brings certain death to anyone who tries to open it.

Armed with the knowledge that God is more powerful than any legend or curse, Jay and Lila plunge down into the Dragon's Throat, determined to find out what awaits them on the other side of the Door. This daring tale will have you on the edge of your seat.

fantastic!

What a brilliant book! My whole family loved it from beginning to end. Perfectly paced, full of excitement and adventure, with strong and obvious Christian truths alongside fictional adventure. We can't wait to listen to the next one!

Fun Kids Series

This is a fun, fast paced book for young teens. I wouldn't let my kids listen to it much younger than age twelve to fourteen for fear of them having nightmares but there's plenty of action to keep a teen interested.

Captivatingly Exciting

Peretti is gifted with the ability to completely draw his readers into the story where imagination takes over and creates completely colorful portraits of the action taking place. Great story! Heart-thumping suspense 'til the end.
Highly recommend.

Boring

Boring religious propaganda with no real action or interesting plot. Really just a Catholic marketing piece

Chilling!

I've read these books before and so have my kids. We thoroughly enjoyed them and now I'm collecting them for my grandkids! Frank Peretti is an amazing author and has blessed our family with his gentle but striking sense of the reality below the surface of life. God bless all who listen to this series.

Almost accurate

Love Frank Peretti books but has slight inaccuracies. But maybe because wrong Bible is used. It sounds like he got revelations 9:1 and Isaiah 14:12 mixed up. The correct Bible says “Lucifer son of the morning” was cast from heaven, and the wrong Bible says Jesus “Morning Star” was cast from heaven. In Revelation I believe the star is either a meteor or an angel of God.
