Made me smile!

Another Chloe & Gavin story!! Loved it! Interesting and entertaining with an air of suspense and romance. The narrator did a great with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.

I loved this short story

This was a fun little story about Chloe and Gavin. I enjoyed getting to delve into their story happening during the previous Ben and Tenzen book. This was a little more fun than the regular books.

The narrator is perfect, as usual!

When you realize what is really important....

I ended up back in this world because I found the book about the marriage of Chloe and Gavin and then realized that there were several books that I had missed. I immediately went to my Goodreads account to find what I had missed and started with this one.

This book has Chloe - still human, still a dancer - (and to be fair - as far as I know, she still is human is the latest books so I did not mean to imply that that has changed. Anyway, this book is before that and has Chloe experiencing a death in her family and having to return to California. This is a fairly short novella, but it showcases the problems that can and do occur because Gavin has kept his relationship with Chloe private from the Vampire world.

I enjoyed this book. It has Chloe finally realizing that she has been straddling a line and it has Gavin realizing that he better do more to protect the woman he loves.

As always, one of my favorite things was getting to see again some other characters from this world - we get to see the California gang...and we also get to see Gavin's frustration with being unavailable when Chloe really needed him.

I know I'm constantly saying this, but I love this series (all of them) and I love the characters that we have come to know and love.

Awesome...truly awesome.
