About this listen

In South London, England, a serial killer appears to be on the loose. Victims have been cruelly slain, bodies are piling high and fear grips the community. But the victims aren’t humans - they’re domestic cats, cute little kitties!

The killings spark a relentless investigation by animal rescue group SNARL, led by the formidable Boudicca Rising, her partner Tony and rock musician Rob. Acclaimed journalist Nancy Miller - who helped track down the infamous Golden State Killer - journeys from the US to help the amateur sleuths crack the case. As ever more victims emerge, the police reluctantly get involved, but doubts about the killer’s existence persist. When the attacks spread beyond London, fear and tension rise, leaving investigators and the public questioning who - or what - is really behind the crimes. And time is running out to solve the mystery with fears growing the killer could ‘species jump’– literally escalate from slaying cats to murdering humans.

Follow Nancy in the hunt for the so-called Croydon Cat Killer in this gripping podcast, which weaves together elements of true crime, a murder mystery, a love story and obsession.

an interesting listen

A very compelling listen, but there was a lot of narration compared to content.

Very Good

I thought this was an intriguing story, lots of twists and turns, not much evidence leading to doubt's bout if there even was a killer, sort of mystery I enjoy.

Someone out there knows the truth

Very well produced podcast. A great retelling of the hunt for the person behind these crimes. This is not the end of this story.

The over sensationalist delivery

I disliked the way each episode ended with ‘click bait’ style dramatic cliff hanger. The fact absolutely nothing happened in the story.

Somewhat interesting

A reasonable investigation into the hunt for the CCK, but dragged out over far too many episodes and dotted throughout with unnecessary nasty judgement of the main characters and the British preference for not forcing cats to be forever locked inside like they do across the pond

Very well researched & presented

Enjoyed almost every aspect of this thorough investigation bar the ending. It felt a tiny bit rushed to me. But I gave it 5x all around because it is a well researched documentary that highlighting many, hidden aspects of the story. Cannot commend enough the research and recording that must have gone into this. Very well presented. I shall look out for other podcasts from the same team.

Really interesting

This was a fascinating as I had heard of the mutilation of cars and foxes in Croydon but this really informed me of all that went on this issue. Very good

Could have been summarised in half an hour.

I’m glad that this was part of my audible subscription and that I didn’t spend any credits on this, however this was so bad that it does make me consider keeping Audible.
Started off well an American presenter who did a podcast about the Golden State Killer comes to Blighty to see if they can catch a possible cat serial killer.
It became very apparent in the first episode that there was little to no actual content and instead I’m subjected to hours of waffling on in great detail about the Golden State Killer,Fox Hunting, Boudicca and the British Police Force.
A few episodes in and the presenter shares that they don’t believe that there is a Croydon Cat Killer, which I would have appreciated at the beginning to be honest.
A few more episodes in and we aren’t talking about the Croydon Cat Killer at all now and instead filling time following the personal life’s of some of the people investigating this, which I had little to no interest in.
I came here for a true crime podcast about a cat serial killer, but instead the wasted time was filled babbling on about anything but that.
