Summary

How do I always attract trouble and drama?

When a crewmember takes his own life but hands Patricia a cryptic note and a request to save Anna just before he jumps, she feels she has no choice but to honour his dying wish. Who is Anna though?

The note leads her to investigate the odd-looking and mysterious couple staying in cabin 2124 and so begins an adventure that leads Patricia and her friends through the streets and underbelly of Tokyo, Japan.

Why did he kill himself? And what are the couple in 2124 up to?

The quest to save the unidentified Anna is not her only problem though. The captain, who has always been warm and friendly, appears to now be flirting with her. She’s in her fifties, for goodness sake! How can she be thinking about starting again, but goodness, he is handsome and oh so charming. Before she can get to grips with that though, they dock in Japan where waiting for her at the Port is none other than her estranged husband, Charlie, the man whose cheating behaviour acted as the catalyst for her around the world adventure. He isn’t done with their marriage it seems, but how does Patricia feel about him now that her anger has had time to dissipate?

A mystery to solve, two men to pick from; how did her life get so complicated?

Join Patricia and gang again for another pulse-pounding adventure on board the world’s finest luxury cruise ship.

Suicide? A number on the back of a scrap of paper?

A lot happens in this face-paced humourous mystery. There's some will he or won't he? some did he or didn't he? and plenty of did that actually just happen? The wonderful narration of Heather Tracy brought this book to life and held my interest throughout.

Patricia does it again.

Some of these books have a different narrator who just isn't Patricia and sounds like an American woman trying to do an English accent but Heather Tracy is a perfect Patricia to me, she nails the English accent and all the other voices including Barbie. The story was fantastic from start to finish with crime gang's in Tokyo and the drama at the beginning with the man begging Patricia to find Ana. Perfect! Love these books.

Great Read

This is the first book in the series i've read and it is brilliant! Highly amusing and a real page turner, read it all in one go. The characters are well described and realistic, the plot is solid and there are some highly amusing parts which made me laugh out loud. Heather Tracy did a fantastic job of the narration using a multitude of different accents all sounding authentic. Would highly recommend. *****

Cruising for a good book

This is a fun cozy mystery that I really enjoyed. This is book four and the third book I have listened to but it won't be my last as the characters and the story line are so much fun. Each boom is a stand alone book so it doesn't matter if you listen to them out of order, but it is such a great series that you will probably want to listen to them all. I like the fact that it is set on a cruise ship and each story takes place in different locations and with the same crew on body you are bound to be listening to some familiar favourites, such as the teasing of Barbie or the ever reliable Jermaine. There was some highly amusing scenes that will have you chuckling as the investigation progress. The mystery itself was interesting and I liked the twist at the end. Looking forward to the next book.
When Patricia is the only witness to a man jumping over board she has no choice but to follow the clues he gave her-a crumpled up note and the words save Anna. The problem is no body else saw him jump over board and the sceptical head of security is reluctant to look into the matter when no passenger comes forward missing a loved one.Patricia life is also complicated with the arrival of her ex husband who wants to pick up where they left off. The identification of the body leads Patricia into the seeded underside of Tokyo as she and her friends visit strip clubs of all places trying to save Anna. And with the ship about to leave port will they be able to do it in time?
I liked the narrator. The author can't seem to decide which narrator should be the voice of Patricia and her friends because this is book 4 and this is the 3rd voice. In my opinion Heather Tracy is just perfect for the role with her great accents and nice easy manner.

I just love Patricia Fisher!

This book kept me laughing so hard I had to keep my hand over my mouth so not to wake everyone in the house up! From the first sentence this story grabs you. I couldn't put it down! All the hijinks this woman and her friends get into just keep me laughing to tears! Loved it! Excellent narration!
