Is your organization in danger of Mission Drift? Without careful attention, faith-based organizations drift from their founding mission. It's that simple. It will happen. Slowly, silently, and with little fanfare, organizations routinely drift from their purpose, and many never return to their original intent. Harvard and the YMCA are among those that no longer embrace the Christian principles on which they were founded. But they didn't drift off course overnight. Drift often happens in small and subtle ways.

While many churches talk about discerning calling and engaging in mission, very few are structured to make this their ministry focus. Underground Church is a new vision for the church rooted in its biblical mission to share the love of God and serve the poor. Sanders explores how to make structural changes, how to think about leadership, how to fund ministries, and how to truly engage people in God's mission. Filled with creative insights, he explains what it means to center the mission of the church around the callings of individuals to outward ministry.

Without it, many people fail to develop their true leadership potential and miss out on genuine fulfillment in their lives and their relationships. Speaker and historian John Dickson shows how the virtue of humility was an important character trait for the "greats" of history and figures prominently in the findings of psychology and sociology.

Summary
Change the way you think about leadership. At the age of 33, Dr. Albert Mohler became the youngest president in the 153-year history of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was the driving force behind the school’s transformation into a thriving institution with an international reputation characterized by a passionate conviction for truth. In the process, he became one of the most important and prominent Christian voices in contemporary culture.
What will it take to transform your leadership? Effective leaders need more than administrative skills and vision. They need to be able to change the hearts and minds of those they lead. Leadership like this requires passionate beliefs that can stand up to pressure from outside and within. Now, for the first time, Dr. Mohler reveals 25 principles to crystallize your convictions, while revolutionizing your thinking, your decision making, your communication, and ultimately those you lead.

Straightforward, well rounded book on leadership
Mohler's book is straightforward, well structured and pretty comprehensive. It's not as immediately having as the Mark Rutland book Relaunch, which I've also recently read and reviewed. But as an all round book on leadership it's very well thought through.
The narration is creative - quotes are read in different voices to (somewhat) match the person quoted.

He "Gets" Leadership!
He really understands leadership. Listen to this book, it will help you be a better leader. It is not just another leadership theory rehashed as is often the case in books of this nature, but contains a lot of original thought, tested both by the authors personal experience and time. I am very thankful for this book and I will read the physical book some time in the future. I believe I recall Dr John MacArthur an exemplary leader in his own right saying this is the best book on leadership he has read.

A worthwhile read
Certainly worth your time (although I’d recommend listening on double speed). Mohlers points in each chapter are simple, but worth hearing. If you want the cliff notes, chapters 1-2 set the thesis of the argument and from there I would say that chapters 4, 12, 15, 22, 23, & 24 are the best. There’s at least one good takeaway in every chapter though so I’d recommend listening to all of it even if you speed up certain parts
