About this listen

When a woman overhears a murder plot on her morning commute, she races to stop it—only to be pulled in deeper than she ever could have imagined.

Amy Nichols (Lizzy Caplan) was an FBI agent with a dogged need to protect everyone—until that instinct caused her to mishandle a crisis, lose innocent lives, and lose her job. Now a civilian working in private security, that mistake still haunts her.

One morning on the commuter train, she overhears a young couple plotting a murder. Ignoring warnings from her family and friends, Amy’s instinct to protect and serve compels her to investigate. But the further she goes, the more she finds her own life in danger.

Filled with mystery, suspense, and more twists and turns than a rail line, The Commuter is a gripping thriller by James Patterson, the world’s best-selling author.

Please note: This audio drama is for mature audiences only. It contains strong language, violence, and sexual content. Discretion is advised.

enjoyable radio theater

This is a nice short story presented as a full cast radiodrama, which is done nicely,
well performed and with a good job at the mixing desk regarding ambient noise to fill the scenes - rather well done

A bit silly

The main character isn’t very sympathetic- she doesn’t seem very sorry/bothered about what happened at the airport, for example. The plot is also quite silly.

Having said that, I do enjoy these dramatisations and it was fine for a free download.

Not long enough!

A clever and funny production. Lizzy Caplan's performance was particularly good. Really enjoyed the story and wished it was longer!

Brilliant !!

More of this please!!! Absolutely great. Great narration and engaging plot, although a certain characters involvement was slightly predictable. Hope there is another one coming soon!

very disappointing

For me the story was riddiculous. The heroine is a former FBI agents getting it wrong so many times??? I usually love audible dramas but was so disappointed. I know it is a personal choice so wouldn't put people off listening adventures it may be their thing but just didn't work for me
