Summary
Madeline Reynolds is setting out on an adventure - and she’s not too happy about it. When Jack is killed by attacking outlaws, Madeline finds herself adrift in Shadow Gulch, without a penny to her name - and without a friend to call on in her hour of need. There, she meets a rancher named Damon Osborne. Himself a victim of lost love, Damon takes pity on her and invites her to stay in his home along with his mother and young daughter.
